I'm fairly familiar with how stinting works, so I'm not too fussed there, was just getting a feel and pace for the track really.

Introducing the new support series for the ATCC

Formula E image.png

Gran Turismo Formula E Championship

The inaugural season of this new GTPlanet/Granturismo 6 series will act as a support series to the all-successful Australian Touring Car Championship, as approved by the ATCC director, @NW48. The series will have the use of the Red Bull X2014 Junior, which has been brought closely to the specification of the real Formula E cars.

The series will be all managed by @Mikey24, who will act as a race director and will be an automatic reserve for every team.

Currently, five spaces have been taken, meaning seven are still open for taking and any driver from the ATCC is permitted to apply for a seat.

To see more, please follow the link to the thread provided:

GT Formula E

If you are interested in this new series, please read all of the information provided on the thread and if you wish to sign up, please follow the instructions provided accordingly.

Good racing!

I'm lost for words... This is utterly and truly pathetic.

When Enduro Cup time rolls around and no one knows what to do, don't blame me.
Ah damn. Dude I'm really sorry. I have a valid reason though... I was at the cinema watching Fast and Furious 7, and then randomly, this dude sat next to me at the final scene started cutting onions. I know. Why would you cut onions at the pictures? Everybody seemed to have watery eyes after this. I can assure you it wasn't because the final scene is really really depressing...

@mustafur you up for the Enduro? Also apologies to NW48 for the no show on Sat. Slipped my mind. I compete in GTP ES though so im well aware of the stint pics procedure

Tomorrow is going to be a massive day in regards to media releases. 3 major announcements are set to be made, so keep an eye on this thread.

At 12:00 GMT+10, the ATCC Board is making an announcement regarding Season 2.

At 13:00 GMT+10, Ford Racing is making an announcement regarding Season 2

At 13:30 GMT+10, an anonymous manufacturer is making an announcement regarding Season 2

ATCC BOARD MEDIA RELEASE

Today, we the board of the ATCC, are announcing that for Season 2, Group A will be axed in favour of a no class system. This will mean that there are more slots open for new manufacturer's, one from whom you will hear from later today, as the Nissan GT-R, Chevrolet Corvette Stingray (C7) & Ford Mustang BOSS 302 are dropped in favour for less powerful, more domestic cars. The reasoning behind it is, we want this series to reflect on the car market here in Australia. Having mega-dollar supercars, doesn't do that. Chevrolet has contacted us about continuing on with a new car next season, as has Nissan. Ford is expected to make a decision later today at a rescheduled time of 17:00 GMT+10.

ATCC SEASON 2 - NEW MANUFACTURER ANNOUNCEMENT

A new manufacturer has announced it's intention to join the ATCC next season. That manufacturer is none other than Subaru. The car (IMPREZZA STi WRX Sedan) was run at the Enduro Cup test for a short run. It also made an appearance with three other new cars at a private test session at Silverstone. Series Founder, and newly hired test driver for Subaru, NW48, commented on how it drives in its Preliminary spec phase, "The balance in the car is really good. Lots of grip and really direct steering with very little oversteer and understeer, it really makes driving the beast fun."

FORD RACING - FUTURE IN THE ATCC

After much thought and discussion, Ford Australia has decided to pull the Mustang GT Premium from Season 2. Therefore, there will no longer be a Ford in the ATCC come Season 2. They will continue to support current Ford drivers in the ATCC Season 1, contrary to popular belief. Nota Fakename, a Ford Racing employee in the upper echelons
, helped make the decision with much remorse, but maintains that it is the right thing to so. "We go racing to win. If we aren't winning, we can better spend that money elsewhere. It was certainly a hard decision amongst us in the board, but we strongly believe it's the right decision."

This is pretty offensive boy, are you aware that people over 14 years of age may have duties outside gt6?

edit: I am already feeling bad about this post, sorry for the bad vibes but c'mon "utterly pathetic"??? really...

edit2: after reading the answer below, I don't feel bad anymore. I am out of this non-sense, thanks for the ride.

And you "boy", better watch that mouth. If you were in my position, where you have been told personally by people that they'll be there, you can understand my frustration. The people, like Pubs16, who told me prior to the event that weren't going to be there know its not directed at them.

And you're not one to talk as YOU were online during that test playing GT6 but despite me telling you via PSN PM you never showed up. I also posted that the room was open on here. So after those two methods of communication failed to bring about a result, it's a bit of a slap in the face to me, and definitely warrants the term of "utterly pathetic". I have no regrets using that term.

Now, I you want to continue this, take it up with me via PM. This thread doesn't need to be clogged up with people complaining and arguing, so if you want to continue, a PM is the best way to do so.

No way I am getting into a convo with you, especially on such a ridiculous topic.
Now, I do get to call you a boy because that is what a 14-year old is.
You don't because I have completed 2.5 times more laps around the sun than you. Simple as that.
I have been in your position, and although it is (very) disappointing to be stood up, I think it is one of the downsides of the race hosting/series administrating activity. If you can't cope with it, man(:D) you are heading towards some serious anger management forced training...
Now for the part where you assume that I was playing gt6 while you sent me PMs through the psn...
I hope that someday you'll experience the happiness of being a father.
And maybe then you'll understand that planning to do something is not exactly as it used to be, and you'll remember with a twist of nostalgy how sweet it was when the only concern you had is your own person and maybe the few household duties your parents ask from you.
For your information, even though my user showed gt6 was running and even if I was in a lobby, there is a very high probability that I was away from the screen for miscellaneous reasons.
This is what raising 2 toddlers does to your online gaming life:lol:.
As for the messages, my wife who uses my psn user for Hulu and Netflix, had me disable the alerts in the top-right corner because she had enough of being advised of the online status of my psn friends while watching a film.
So here you go, yet with one less entry into your very nicely thought series.
Many thanks to all the people I raced with in these series, apologies to @Jordiehamz and @Aaroh007 for leaving the team, thank YOU very much for the effort you put in getting this together.
That being said, I come here on :gtplanet: for many reasons and I have met some people than I can without a doubt call friends even though we never met in real life, but taking s:censored:t from a teenager is definitely not one of them.
So farewell and good luck for the rest of the season.

2.5 times more? So you're 49? Perhaps you are old enough to know better than to carry on like a child then...

Whether you meant you're 35, or 49, my point still stands. Flying off the handle like that over nothing is childish, especially when you're carrying on at a 14 year old, who has been far more mature than his age may suggest.

I know I never acted that mature when I was 14, I was a little **** lol.

Edit* I'm not having a go, just pointing out that there's more than one way to skin a cat. Those of us old enough to know how to act civilised should do so, for the benefit of the forum :)

Edit #2* On another note, I'm pretty pissed I couldn't continue in the series. My ps3 must have been a bit emo, because despite my best efforts to save it continually, it made another attempt at taking it's own life, and this time it was successful. Onwards to ps4! If you host a series on Project CARS on ps4 by any chance, I'll join you there @NW48 đź‘Ť

I like skinning cats.

So now that the everyone has calmed down and realised my right in slamming the attendance, not the people, lets get back on track.

Pre-Q events will be up later today, and to prevent confusion with attendance, I will be instituting an 'Attendance Sheet'. This will go out on Thursday night and if you're attending, you'll put your name in the 'Attending' column and if you can't attend, you'll put your name under 'Not Attending'.

And so we clear things up about attendance, I will have each week a target attendance number, which will usually be more than 10. Which I believe is reasonable as we have 20+ drivers in our series so at least half should be able to attend. :)

It's really frustrating isn't it? 16+ drivers sign up and less than 7-10 show up. It's quite crap really. :indiff:
