It's really frustrating isn't it? 16+ drivers sign up and less than 7-10 show up. It's quite crap really. :indiff:
Now people start to understand after I put it in that context.

There will be times when the attendance is lower than 16, but when it has been consistently lower than 12 for the last two/three rounds, I can be frustrated about it.

Anyway, lets not continue to dwell on the past, lets look forward to the future, precisely this Saturday at 21;50 GMT+10 when we hit the streets of Rome for a return to street circuits!

Seems to happen a lot too. In CORE V8SC we had 13 or 14 sign up, and the second race of the season saw 5 enter and only 3 finish. It's a complete joke when that happens. Makes you feel like you've wasted your time entering a series to just run around basically by yourself. May as well play offline for that lol.

If only people see what happens backstage away from the public eye, then they'll understand the frustration of having consistently low attendance. All the planning and prepping for races, Driver-In-Focus interviews, Press Conferences, Pre-Q events, etc. It all adds up really.

Anyway, I do have a special announcement make later tonight that will please everyone and I dare say that it's something to strive for. ;) (That's the hint)

I would love to see some open wheel championships on Project CARS when everyone moves on to that, since they offer so many classes of open wheel competition. Despite my good record with touring cars in GT6 online, my driving style has always suited open wheelers much more than tin tops.

A friend of mine who I have played against a lot in gt6, f1 2013/2014, and grid:AS, was always fairly competitive with me in all forms of tin tops in both grid and gt. In f1, and also with the open wheelers in grid and gt, he was always baffled how he couldn't lap anywhere near my times, which led our races to be quite boring with open wheelers, as I'd be 10 seconds + up the road from him after 5 laps lol.

My driving style, at least I feel this way anyway, is suited to GT's. A bit of agression mixed with consistency, I don't mind Open-Wheelers, preferably Formula Fords and Formula 3, though, so I'm happy to do whatever as its always for the love of it. I'll have to see what my driving style suits in pCARS as its a completely different game though as I don't want to throw myself in the deep end, as such.

I always feel more comfortable in really lightweight cars, where fingertip precision and controlled oversteer are the orders of the day. I never noticed really until my mate mentioned it. We both had our wheels around at his place, playing split screen, and he noticed he was much closer to me when we had a heavier, more understeery car. As soon as we were using open wheelers, no matter the game, I was in a different league to him.

I always used to find the karts easy to handle when I was a kid too. Though the only karts I've driven in a long time are the underpowered local kart centre ones, against friends. I always manage to win in those though, despite being significantly heavier than my friends, which is a massive disadvantage in those gutless little karts (I'm 94kg vs my mates who are around 70-80kg).

If Project CARS is as realistic as it looks and sounds from all accounts, I will be way more comfortable in the open wheelers.

The one thing I hope they get right in the entire game is, the karts. I haven't played a game where each and every class of kart was like it is in real life. GT comes close, but not close enough.

The thing I'm most anticipating from the game is the career mode. I'm really looking forward on getting my hands in the 'Zero-to-Hero' type career, as you start in karts an progress upwards from there, as you would in real life. I'll probably go down the GT road with a stint in Prototypes and Open-Wheels to attempt the Triple Crown though.

Hell yeah, I think I'll do the zero to hero career following the whole open wheeler path, although that will be no surprise to you after my last couple of posts

ATCC ANNOUNCEMENT

Near the end of the current season, the ATCC will host an Awards Night, a night where we will officially crown the series champion. The full awards list will be announced at a later date. One award, however, will be announced now. It is the 'Greatest Contribution' award. Anyone in this series, past or present, is eligible for nomination, including myself, NW48, David Talle (Co-Series Manager), Timlour (Deputy Co-Series Manager) & True-blue-8 (Head of GTOR). You will not be able to nominate yourself. The prize for winning this prestigious award is a Year-Long Gifted Subscription for a Premium GTP account, kindly supplied from @True-blue-8.

In the case that the winner already has a Premium account, it will go to the next person who has the most votes.

Voting and nominations will open soon. I will notify everyone in this thread about it. :)👍

After following what everyone was saying in this thread I'd like to give my 2 cents in a positive way

Like like Mikey and NW had said it with people signing up and never showing up. It's a tough thing and very frusterating. We have had it happen at Turtle a couple times we have a lot of drivers to many to count and only about a fourth or third of them show up on a weekly average. But like how NW is doing it with constantly promoting his league to try to get more people to join. Honestly NW for a 1st season racing series this is by far the most successful 1st season racing series By far. Most racing series Barely finish their first season. So don't get me wrong attendance is a struggle it's a pain I feel for you NW but approach it in a better way by what you are now saying with attendance sheet. for example in the WRS we have to fill out a WRS Google doc if we want to race in their online races and once we sign up then it's like required that we show up and that's how it is if 12 sign up their will be 12 that day of racing.

Anyways just wanted to give my input glad to see things are moving on strong! Still a bright future here at ATCC. Well done NW! Keep up the great work, yes it takes a lot of your time out of your life but it will pay off someday. It did for me in Turtle and it was a great feeling.

Hey @NW48, I'm #availablesaturday! Sorry I haven't been on, I have been overloaded with exams and still have more but I see you've been without a safety car for quite a while and figured I should give you the helping hand while revising.

Who said males can't multitask? You're wrong.

ATCC BOARD MEDIA RELEASE

Today, we the board of the ATCC, are announcing that for Season 2, Group A will be axed in favour of a no class system. This will mean that there are more slots open for new manufacturer's, one from whom you will hear from later today, as the Nissan GT-R, Chevrolet Corvette Stingray (C7) & Ford Mustang BOSS 302 are dropped in favour for less powerful, more domestic cars. The reasoning behind it is, we want this series to reflect on the car market here in Australia. Having mega-dollar supercars, doesn't do that. Chevrolet has contacted us about continuing on with a new car next season, as has Nissan. Ford is expected to make a decision later today at a rescheduled time of 17:00 GMT+10.
UNC Motorsports announces continued support from Nissan.
Recent developments have formed in the ATCC with announcement that Nissan will be dropping their GT-R in season 2 for a new model to coincide with the ATCC's revised regulations. UNC Motosports is sad to see the GT-R leave the series, especially just after opening up their GT3 program to compete in the ORA GT Cup.

Nissan has announced to the ATCC and UNCM though that the GT-R will be replaced with another model, although unknown in details as yet; UNCM remains in tight contact with Nissan to ensure that they remain an independent factory entry for the future.

Swift Autosport ATCC Press Release
After Ford's announcement to pull out of the championship after just one season. Swift Autosport was forced to find a new manufacture for next season. After a week of meetings at the Swift Autosports HQ. The team decided the best decision for the team was to go with a manufacture the team is acquainted with. They decided to go with Subaru. We asked Smith why they chose Subaru as his teams manufacture for the second season of the Australian Touring Car Championship. He told us they selected Subaru because they really like how they drive and look.

Smith was seen doing a photo shoot in Spain at Gemasolar. He then went to a test at the Circuit in town. Here are some photo's we got.
