UNC Motorsports Announces Enduro Line-Up!
UNC Motorsports have recently finalised discussions for the ATCC Endurance races and are pleased to announce that @Ramalhinho91 will be joining @Pubs16 in the #16 Nissan GT-R for the three endurance races.

The recently crowned ORA GTWC AM Champion should do wonders for the Independent Nissan outfit, always finding fast pace quite easily in anything he jumps in to. Together with Pubs16 they had secured the ORA GTWC AM Teams Championship so they could prove to be a partnership to be reckoned with, look out at Bathurst ;).

Hey @NW48 ill definately be attending but I'm on my phone and I'm quite busy as my g27 isn't working so I need to see if I can have it fixed by tonight otherwise I'll be rockin the old school ds3 :lol: thanks mate

@NW48

Just a suggestion for the attendance register, to keep your thread cleaner, below ive uploaded your attendance register on google as a shared doc that anyone can edit. It might save us all reposting it each time there is a change.

For now, we will be keeping the post method, but from next week on we are reverting to what you suggested. :)👍

Driver's Briefing will be up soon. My apologies for not having it up yet, I woke up late this morning and had to go out bush to grab a few things. :)

(GTOR) ATCC | Driver's Briefing | Round 5 | Circuito di Roma

unnamed (2).jpg

Welcome everyone to the Driver's Briefing for the 5th round of the Best Touring Car Series based in Australia, the ATCC! Tonight is shaping up as a major round in the championship race as we start to creep up to the halfway mark in the championship. Can Mustafur continue his dominance of the ATCC? Or can Ph1sher steal the win in his ATCC return? Can Russian Roulette Racing bounce back from their worst round as a team yet, and can NW48 finally clinch his first win in the ATCC? Who knows, Rome will certainly be a round to remember. We should mention Group B, Aaroh007 will be looking to continue his winning ways whilst Ex-Mustang driver, David Talle, makes his debut for BMW after making the switch from Group A to Group B, can the new partnership bear fruit in the first race? There's only one way to find out, anf that's to show up to what will be a blockbuster event for the ATCC!

Estimated Time Schedule
21:50 GMT+10 ~ Room Opens
22:00 GMT+10 ~ Cars Allowed on Track
22:15 GMT+10 ~ All Cars To Pitlane
22:16 GMT+10 ~ Tech Inspection

22:55 GMT+10 ~ Race 1 Concludes
23:05 GMT+10 ~ Race 2 Starts (24 Laps // 1 Mandatory Pitstop)
23:40 GMT+10 ~ Race 2 Concludes
23:45 GMT+10 ~ Round *Should* Conclude
00:00 GMT+10 ~ Time Certainty Finish

Stewards
The sStewards of the Round will be;
@NW48
@Mike_grpA (Third-Person)
@David Talle
@Timlour

Safety Car
How the Safety Car will be used is as follows;

-The Safety Car will only be brought out if 3 or more cars are involved in a crash/spin that leaves them stationary (or at a slow speed) for more than 5secs or if there is a car stationary on the track due to heavy damage. If you are found to have faked heavy damage, you will be investigated.

- If the Safety Car is brought out, it will pick the field up after the first corner and bunch the field up at a steady pace of 60kmh.
- The Safety Car will continue to circulate until the entire field is bunched up.
- Once the field is bunched up, the Safety Car will do one more lap then pull into the pit lane.
- Once the Safety Car is in pit lane, the leading car in the pack will continue at a steady 60kmh until the Start/Finish line where the race will be restarted as the leading car hits the Start/Finish Line. Falsifying the restart may result in a penalty.

If you have any questions about the Safety Car method, please do not hesitate to ask as this is an important aspect of the race.

Pre-Q Reminder
Just a reminder that if you haven't completed a minimum of 1 Pre-Q session, you will be forced to start at the rear-of-field, not the rear of your Group, the rear of the entire field.

Group A & Group B Passing
We haven't had any problems with this so far, but we do need a refresher after a two-week break.

- If a Group A car approaches a Group B car, it is the responsibility of the Group A car to pass safely, however, if it is safe to do so, the Group B car should yield off the racing line safely.

Pit Lane Entry/Exit Lines
We are at a track that has these lines, it is important to acknowledge these lines. Failure to do so will result in a 'Dangerous Driving' penalty.

Use of Text Chat
Use of Text Chat will be slightly restricted during the round. We ask that you do not spam the text box as it does result in some server instability. This is a precaution we are taking to ensure better server stability.

Recovery Time
There will be a maximum of 10mins recovery time (Disconnection/Rejoining waiting time) before a race, this time will begin once two or more people DC from the room. Once the time is up or all the problems are resolved, the race will start, no matter what.

Turns 5 & 6
This is a turn that has brought some concern amongst some people. This is the Downwards S-Bend that narrows quite quickly. Safety and spatial awareness needs to be expressed here and passing should ONLY be executed if you have complete 100% confidence that contact won't be made.

Well, I think that just about covers it, I hope to see another full grid there tonight and I hope we all have fun and enjoy a round that could shape the final championship outcome.

Tonight is shaping up as a penultimate round in the championship race as we start to creep up to the halfway mark in the championship.

The word "Penultimate" literally means second last, so this sentence confused the hell outta me :P

Just looking at Pre-Q and now that we have 3 brands of car competing in the Group B class, you can see how cloae the BoP is. The gap between Provisional Group B Pole and 3rd place is under a tenth of a second!!!

Pre-Q is Pre-Qualifying. What you do to start the Time Trial (like you'd start a Race in a lobby, by pressing the little Flag icon) and set the fastest lap you can in the allotted 10mins. You must finish the Time Trial though to have your lap 'registered'. :)👍
