ATCC Driver's Briefing | Round 3 | Indy Road Course

unnamed (74).jpg

After a thrilling Round 2 at Mid-Field Raceway, the ATCC roadshow continues to Indianapolis, Indiana. With multiple Americans in the ATCC field, they'll be looking to impress on home soil. @FutureF1 will be looking to further extend his championship lead while the reigning champion, @NW48, searches for his first win of his title defence campaign. Another thrilling battle is expected between @Thomas2012 & @lxmmy in Group B as their battle for the title hits a new high.

Estimated Time Schedule
20:00 GMT+10 ~ Room Opens
20:20 GMT+10 ~ Qualifying Starts (10mins)
20:30 GMT+10 ~ Race 1 Starts (17 Laps // 1 Mandatory Pitstop)
20:55 GMT+10 ~ Race 1 Concludes
21:05 GMT+10 ~ Race 2 Starts (20 Laps // 1 Mandatory Pitstop)
21:45 GMT+10 ~ Race 2 Concludes

Qualifying
Qualifying will take place within the room in a 10 minute session. This will set the grid for Race 1. The grid for Race 2 will be a Reverse Group Grid, determined by Race 1 Results.

Mass Disconnection
In case of a Mass DC, the race will be red flagged allowing those that DC'ed a chance to rejoin the race at the lap the race was red flagged (-1 lap).

Recovery Time
In case of any disconnect, an allotted 10 minutes of recovery time will start to help give those who disconnected a chance to rejoin before the room starts. After this time ends, the race will start/re-start no matter what.

Contact
As stated in the OP, contact of cars is allowed, as long as it is kept to a minimum and doesn't hinder the progress of the opposing car/s. Refer to the "3 Quarter Car Rule" here.

Pitlane Entry/Exit Lines
This will be monitored in both races. Failure to abide by these lines will see a Dangerous Driving penalty go your way.

Well, that's about all I need to say. So hopefully we can have a good showing and have another fantastic round of racing.

Really sorry guys, I wanted to attend tonight but have a friends gathering I have to go to now, so unfortunately won't be able to make Indy :(

I should be attending tonight unless something pops up. My internet currently is quite slow hopefully that shouldn't create an issue in the races.

Depending on when we finish up the main game, I may throw in an 86 Series race at the end. Remember, stock 86 Racing versions only.

Alrighty, will the 86's be purely stock including body kits? And running RH's?

Qually is about to start hurry up and get here, there aren't many of us here.
They don't want to make the effort to show up, we start without them. If they don't want to inform me of their absence, it's their problem. Everyone has known we'd be racing tonight for two weeks, plenty of time to inform me they can't race. đź‘Ž:grumpy:

Well I though my car was getting closer to lxxmy's but nope. 3 lag spikes mid race which added around 15-20s which was very annoying 🤬 Silverstone will be worse. For the time things were going well besides the near empty grid though.

people have got to stop abusing race organisers time, you signed to race for all rounds unless you stated that you can't make rounds on either your entry or a few days before the event.

It's very frustrating for both organisers and racers. I know from experience in both fields. I don't see why no one turns up as these are very good races.

Edit: Especially the big names that everyone knows that aren't turning up to a very well organised event. I would be ashamed if that was me. At least it wasn't me.

So dissappointed in myself, I was staying up late and overslept. I didn't even hear my alarm. Really sorry everyone. :(

I say it is the curse of Indy. When I hosted a Series and we got to Indy it was pretty dead, and it onky happened at Indy. Indy definitely is risky for a series.

My PS3 would agree with this. Last nights race wasn't the best but the one I had this morning was the worst ever, I'm so off using my PS3 now. The rest of this season will be a major pain so I may have to pull out especially since I've already pulled out of the other series I joined after the first race at Indy

Edit: @NW48 Will the next race be this upcoming weekend and will it be ran at an earlier time? I wouldn't mind 12:00, so we or majority of us (Sorry others) don't have to stay up late just too finish.

Also what will happen to me during the Silverstone round? No matter what I do it just won't load making me race blind after the first lap... Hmm I may have idea that just popped into my head it probably won't work but I'm becoming desperate.

One last thing, for the Rome 400 and Bathurst 1000 we score endurance points right?
Finally good job everybody (4 of us) who followed the pitlane rule very well!

Should be, however don't predict anything amazing from me. Exams are coming up so I have had little time to Practice my skills.

Also a suggestion, maybe in the future (like the next season) we can merge both Classes so we don't have 2 racers per Class. We could do this buy either buffing the Group B cars or nerf the Group A cars.

I'm not sure if I'll be able to make it. I've got a pretty bad knee injury so I'm not sure if I'll physically be able to race. I'll wake up and see how it is though. Hope I can get back behind the wheel.

I'll have a Driver's Briefing up later this afternoon.

I'm not too sure if I can make it, I'll report back later when I can confirm. This enduro and the time it takes place doesn't work too well for me thats all

Well, that's about all I need to say, and want to say. So hopefully we can have a much better showing than the disappointment of last week and return to some great racing.
