Attack with van in Barcelona.

The attack took place in central Barcelona. Las Ramblas, a street of stalls and shops that cuts through the centre of Barcelona, is one of the city’s top tourist destinations. People walk down a wide, pedestrianised path in the centre of the street, but cars can travel on either side.


Seeing how the numbers of injuries and deaths are still conflicting, I won't post that but it's safe to say it will be multiple.

I know that street well from visiting people I know who live in Barcelona. I haven't found out enough details yet to feel informed on the situation but I hope for the minimum amount of hurt for anyone involved.

Question: why do the recent terrorists bring passports on an attack? Like some Russian social media ironically noted:

I have several friends working there (from Italy, Czech and Barcelona itself) and for the first time I was worried that people who I personally know and care about could be affected. Fortunately they were all working and all of their friends and family are safe.

I had to laugh, he's been in a wheelchair his whole life.

Police found a van with Spanish plates, filled with gas canisters driving in that neighbourhood. The driver has been arrested, and more news will follow.
