yeah HSV stands for holden special vehicle.

now that the TransAms and the Camaros are gone, holden is sending the monaros over to replace them.

the new pontiac GTO will also be a monaro.

Josh - well not really but is a bit of fun. your S2000 would have a 9 or 10 g redline am i right?

Jagman -
theres the 2 coupes (GTO, GTS) \350,
1 of the 2 monaros (CV8) \350,
clubsport and the clubsport R8 \350,
the maloo ute \350,
the SS sedan and ute \350,
senator \350,
grange \350,
statesman \350,
sv300 \350,
the hrt ute (427ci LS6 chev),
the R8 response (the hsv boat 350 LS1 chev),
the calais \350

nah i doubt it, look at the guage, its 3/4 full. thats his work car and if you go to this site www.3rotor.com and click clubsport in the non rotaries section, theres heaps of pics, movies and info on the car.

the 350's have gotten a little better on fuel...pitty about the v6's. leave em too long with out a tune and they blow goats.

I think GM is going to bring in the HSV GTO 255 for the New Pontiac GTO. I think Corvette Z06 is using the HSV 300 Kw V8 Engine. I hope GM brings more Holden/HSV Cars over to the US. I think the UTE could sell in the US as an El Camino.

your right about the GTO. they are also relpacing the camaro and the firebird with monaros. i have no doubt the utes will go over too. we need more export and the us wants it from what i hear. should be interesting to see the body mods they do.

theres the standard commies (suck) and the exec's. i wasnt using production numbers i was using the engine size (350ci).

i doubt id ever buy a commodore. if i had the cash id get a GTS but nothing else. imagine working over a base 300kW...spells potential to me.

I looked at www.3rotor.com and the owner of the HSV Clubsport R8. When he upgraded the suspension, it looks kinda like BMW 2002, 3 series (E21, E30, and E36) suspension systems. I want to see a GTO in ALMS GT class beatin up Porsches, but then Porsche will wine and cry to the ACO. Yeah I'm still kinda upset over the ACO ban on the BMW E46 M3 GTR.

Nice looking cars.

FYI: 1kW = 1.36hp so the monster 300kW is 408hp. I think that could make me happy (:

I knew that!
BTW, nice job pasting from hsv.com.au, Dudebusta! :D

they sure are nice looking. And Holden is a division of GM? Amazing...I bet GM would really see a turn-around finacially if they somehow sold those things over here, i mean, i'm sure a lot of people would be intrested in buying one as an alternative to say a IS 300 or a 325. Or just to, at least, blow the doors off a M.

well next year the new pontiac GTO will be a 225 kW HSV GTO and because the V8 camaros and firebirds are going, holdens exporting the Monaro. theylle probably receive a facelift but it will still be sheer ozzie grunt under the bonnets.
