Okay guys track has been created and is now available to test.

In the interest of making it easier, all weather settings will be at 0. Time set to 7am and progression 1

It's a flowing circuit so practicing is not the be all and end all, so those who don't have time to practice through the week can learn the track in about 5 laps.

Predicted lap time is 2.45. So race would be 22 laps long.

Max speed is around 166mph

There are 7 sectors (I'm that kind of guy). Lap is 5.09miles long.

The apparent straight length is 0.58miles

There is a 331.2ft elevation change

Apparently there are 44 corners. But the track is not mentally taxing and it doesn't feel like that

There is 2 blind crests, but even then you can see the apex before needing to brake :)

1st and 2nd are not used. With 3rd used for a corner or 2

Sector 3 has to be my favourite sector

Rear grip will be important here as a lot of the corners are cambered. But if you have the rear in control then front wear will be causing your pit stops

I fear that I have to abandon this tournament guys :ouch:, I want to follow seriously the new WEC World Endurance Championship - season 2, so since it's on the same day will be difficult for me to follow both (and my wife.....)... sorry guys... maybe I'll do some spare races every now and then if it's possible. I think we will see everybody in GT6 👍

It's unfortunate to lose you mate. You're welcome any time.

ive driven it and chatted with zack i personally don't like it but i have said he may need to alter it to cater for a good turn up

2:46.2 on mediums fot Zacks track. I think a couple places could be wider for side by side racing, but its not a hard track.

i said pretty much the same needed to be wider and prehaps reduce the camber slightly

Heading home now to give it a spin what are the tires if not specified before. Also madd op re build going down tonight!

Op Updated, and the season begins!!!

Champion Created Round 1 - PB 2'51's, but I see mad time to be gained here so who knows where pole is. I was going to put it around the 47's but judging from Seth's times I guess 37's sound more like it. This is a drivers track, very technical with misconception everywhere. I wish I had 2 wks to setup for this track opposed to only 1 because there is so much to learn here. I will be knocking out tire test until I know the track by hard then I'll start playing with the settings. I'm going to have to pull the plug on everything else to properly get ready for this race. Thankfully I have July 4th off, plus the following Friday too so I would like to setup test races July 4th, and/or 5th if there are any takers. I love a new track!!! 👍

Looks like a very good calendar Joe, maybe I will come to do some spot races when I can (if there will be room of course) in Suzuka, Monza and LeMans... with my Lexus :)

One thing: Daytona Oval will be october 5th not 6th? Am I right?
Can I be you pace car in that occasion?

2:41s were on my absolute flyer. I think you will see possibly 2:40s for pole with low fuel, but thats pushing track limits.

Joe, I assume we still doing grid start. So rolling start can be removed from op :)

I'm glad you asked, I was going to try to bribe you! Of course you can my friend. I will try to find out how to repay you some how.

I'll make the edit. Still a few to be done this is a rough draft for now. In a couple of days the of will be finished and looking better then what it is now. I hope this GT6 demo doesn't cost too much of my free time. This track you created at that distance yields 2 pit strategies that I'm not sure to run until further testing.

Haha yeah the gt6 demo is a disaster. Don't really want to go back on gt5 after the feel of those cars. It's nice to have some idea what the cars doing for once lol.

The pit should be interesting. I imagine the pace drop off to be high when the tyres run down due to the technical nature. But the amount of time lost on cold tyres/on the longest straight may force fewer stops

So far I like gt5 main or home screen better. This looks like a kids version of a racing game. Everything else is good. One thing is for sure I will be dropping all my cars with the massive amount of body roll that we have to deal with now.

The new home screen isn't complete yet, so you can't judge it fully. The demo gave me a GT4 type feel to it. Was great to have tire grip feel normal. Instead of the sliding tires gt5 gives you.

This entirely. It feels strangely familiar with like bits from previous GT in it. The demo for sure gives the impression the whole game has changed

GT6 will be great. If the sports tires are giving grip like the demo showed, racing tires should be awesome.

I was thinking th same thing. I do like how thay power over into a slide with any unbalancing of the car which is very realistic. And I suggest you you guys should watch your replays because you can really see the car pitching and rolling when you drive hard. The birds flying, and the tree leaves falling are cool little upgrades to the game. And I notice that when I take the outside line to pass on the dirty side of the track I could work the car around the outside of another car with ease and I'm guessing this GT6 should allow for more cleaner overtaking once you got the dynamics of the car/track down packed. I still want to take a Super GT or GT3 downforce, car around Silverstone to get an idea of how those cars behave. All in all I'm looking forward to playing the new game, but fr now I don't think GT5 is crap especially driving the premium model chassis like these Super GT's. I know I'm not going to win the GT Academy so I won't spend to much time at it but I will be lapping the full Silverstone circuit for bragging rights since all of your friends list times are posted up for everyone to see. Right now if I was to qualify for a 60 car Blancpain event I would be qualifiying in the #27 grid position, but I know I cam do better than that!

I hope they get the downforce right for cars like the GT500s. Theyre doing 1:33s at Fuji F race pace, were doing 36's. Pole for GT300 was in the 1:37s by the BRZ. Im sure that car has about 400-450hp and weighs 1200+kg. Theres a big difference with the GT3s. Theyre about equal but you see the GTR makes around 540hp but weighs 1300kg. Then the Z4 makes around 510hp and weighs around 1260kg. You can look at the bop here-

hey joe sing me up for the season if spots r still left also let me know about car selection

Plc you finally powered up your gtp acct. Good Job!👍

I'll check out the car list, and still find a date that we can meet up at the kart track. You racing Tri C, or Lakc races yet. I suggest Tri C since we get an extra 8 lap heat race. :sly:

Wanted to start early but looks like ill be powering up late night GMT. I'm trying to get as many laps in as possible this is a very challenging track and I can't break out better than 48's on soft rubber with the old +30kg weight, while tnt is in the 43's with less downforce at the new +10kg reg. If I can't find pace then I'm going to need a stellar pit stradegy to maintain a respectable finish for the opening round.

Wow. I'm still in the 50s lol

Note yeah the 350z now at 1100 kg not 1130. Needs editing in op :)
