Joe and I are understandably having a little rest right now, but once GT6 is released (yes I'm calmer now than last night) we will be planning and will have the series up and running soon.

We are intending for a January launch, to give you guys a nice rest, but if we see other series launching we will be ready to start probably mid December.

It's been a good 3 years racing on GT5 with you guys, let's hope GT6 is just as entertaining

If you need help with any feature related to the next season, then I'm at your service :P

Watch for me. I'll be running a SuperGT GT6 series that you all are welcome to join. I'm sure it will be a bit before these guys start back up. So in the weeks of December and early January I'll try to get a team together for a nice little series. So add TF_110B and we can get some GT500 action in before this is up for season two.

Thanks for having me guys , some of you ive been racing with for quite some time .

Didnt think I would win missing that last race but im elated knowing i won !!!!

Keep practicing and get ready for gt6 , i think the competition will be closer in gt6

I had a disaster of a race. Lap 2 tried an overtake and put it in gravel. Lost 10s

Then during the night, my car had glitched and I couldn't use full beams, certainly made it tricky to stay on the road lol

Lol, fresh used Hard tires to do a long first stint for a one stop, but the rain ruined that. During the 2nd stint most everyone took intermediates, he put on wets but didn't put enough fuel in to go the rest of the race. So the track got wetter and the full wet tires were great, but he had to pit again for more fuel. His original plan was to put in enough fuel in to go to the end but he messed up. He said good racing with you Zack, and almost caught Yera toward the end.

My strategy was to stay behind the group until someone would make a mistake, when Zach and other guys crashed at Indianapolis corner I went through that wall of smoke and sparks, then I got Yera's slipstream and we (Calum, Yera, Panoz and I) escaped from the group and had a beautiful race. After second pit stop Seth started to stalk me D: but then he had to pit again because of the fuel. After Panoz and Yera's stops I got P2 at +11 seconds of Calum, at Mulsanne Corner he made a mistake and I was at +4 seconds. At the end of that lap we both stopped for the third time, my target was to put 15 lt. of fuel. Then we exited the pits at P3 and P4 and I stayed behind Calum until we arrived to Yera and Panoz and we were like the start of the race but I made a mistake at Virage du Karting and automatically I thought: "My race ended right here" but 10 seconds later, at penultimate chicane Yera spun and I realized that Calum and Panoz weren't as far as I thought, well, Calum was 2 or 3 seconds faster per lap, but it's OK, lol. At lap 21 I caught Panoz but I decided to stay behind til last lap that I overtaked him but we did the entire lap pretty close each other and at last chicane he was at my 3 but he understeered too much and I won him.

In short:

-Fierce Race
-:censored:ing Rain

By the way, sorry for my poor English, but this is Spain, a place where a 3 y.o. kid has a better English level than our "wonderful" politicians :P

This is 1 of the reasons I'm deciding to drive factory teams only from now on. Before I didn't have enough practice time to race multiple seasons at once because of how much setup time it requires during the week, but know i have the setups for all the tracks so all I have to do is arrive and drive. It makes it a lot easier to join other series once you have the series, so I'll hit the ones I can in the future!

The current points are updated in the click able links, but I just got back in town so I can update the op tomorrow morning. I've been short on time due to the Holiday seasons, plus mid terms but on this Winter break Zach & I are going to overhaul the op with the new GT6 data and have the op up and running online as soon as possible to give time to let momentum build before the start of Season 2 early next year!

Im thinking the setups we all have will be useless in GT6. Im hoping so at least. Unrealistic toe out in the rear giving your car better turn in, the "transmission trick"? I hope its done away with. I will be doing the Super GT along you guys next season, fresh will be doing more lmp/group c stuff. Plus his kid is 3 now so he'll be occupied more. Thatll give me more time with the game.

Anyway, Im proposing a short series with 4 races but all at least 90 minutes in length. I know it will be some time before people are able to purchase a Super GT, but pre ordering gets you the HSV 15th Anniversary car. It will be interesting to see how the reworked aero plays a part. But looking at that vid @Ghaek posted, these cars seem to hold more speed through the turns at Tokyo than in GT5.

I'm going to start a conversation with Zach tomorrow, but he wants to run a quick series with all cars stock and balance the cars out after the season which I strongly agree is an awesome idea! I was thinking for the official series we should run all the new tracks the Gt6 has to offer since there are probably only 8 or less if we are lucky at that. We're defitely taking Dec off for the holidays and Gt6 break in mode, but maybe we can do a 4 round test season, and then run the full Monty in Feb. this will also help drivers, drive the cars they really intended too instead of the 4 round switching like the past seasons.

Edit: I haven't said anything, good idea, LOL

These cars should be damn close as is (510hp/1100kg). I think people are getting more out of certain cars than another. For instance, the HSV may be half a second faster at Suzuka than the GTR, but then someone else tests the two and they go a second faster than you in the GTR and only equal your time in the HSV. So who's speed do we use? Some guys seemed just as fast with full ballast than other guys without any. Is it the car or is it the driver/setup? Obviously its the driver if someone is 2 seconds faster in the same car. Testing cars stock to judge their equality is dumb imo if you're not running stock through the season. This is where ballast takes effect. Hopefully its a bit better laid out in GT6.

I guess we will soon find out , we need the game first

In gt5 pure have the gtr at 512hp 1100 kg ( no turbo ) ( no engine tune ) pp limit 608

Hsv is 514 hp 1100-1109 kg and pp limited to 596 (no turbo) (no engine tune )

The cars are very close at that spec

Remember in autobacs turbos are used that changes things a bit

I don't mean we are going to running stock as no tuning allowed, just that we won't differentiate hp & kg from each chassis like we did this Autobacs season. We'll run them all at the same hp/kg after some testing and if one is obvisoly way faster than the pack then we will try to balance that 1.

We could run it like Pure but I do believe the Xanavi's GTR are the larger of the bunch. Haven't seen not 1 Xanavi win a championship or a race for that matter! I'm thinking about switching GTR chassis honestly, all 4 Xanavi chassis are D2 only!

I think turbos ruin the cars ballancing with eachother. These cars are more grip and aero delendant than power. At most I say they put out 520hp, just because they need to be faster on the straights than the GT3's. They were less powerful a few years ago because they weren't under threat on the straights from over powered GT3 cars ;)

I actually got use to Pure's Super GT power ranges of 513hp, and I got say it still goes flat around 170mph. I would want to consider 522hp range up too 552hp, but the only thing that sucks with increasing the hp is more power over at low 2nd gear speeds. I have a wheel so it's easy for me to modulate the throttle, but its going to get tricky for the Ds3 users I believe. But I am ready for these things to make power up to 186mph before they go flat! Also we do allow TCS and and run sorts & meds so that will limit the lighting the tires up at low speed low rpm ranges'

So the question is do we want to run the times of the irl Super GT's or run the hp that gets us excited?

As Skeng said, we need the game first, then we'll test the cars to draw conclusions

Did you watch the video that Ghaek posted? That HSV hit 288kmh on Tokyo R246's straight even with his botched exit of the last turn. Im thinking he could hit 295kmh. Thats faster than I could go even on Fuji's straight with the GTR at 510hp (i tested earlier).

I'm just spit balling at the moment! Honestly in the end i really dont care as long majority of the drivers are happy 👍

Seth your the Hi hp guy, Mr GT1 Series'

could we have different starting weights so i start at stock weight for instance and then we ballast so that all drivers are slowed down to almost the pace of the slowest driver
the fast guy will should win still as for instance calum is smother and has more control than me it could also mean that the total ballast applied could be reduced

He's not going to be making anymore gtplanet series', thats for sure. And in the videos, the RAYBRIG has 500ps or 506ps from the car select screen (hard to read), thats 493hp or 499hp. Not actually that high surprisingly.

Just a few more weeks and we can go crazy

Actually isnt it next friday ?

PS is Metric horsepower. For those of us in the U.S. that 500ps is 493hp. Of course thats before break-in/oil change.

True.

Hmm, here in Spain we use CV (Caballo de Vapor, literally: Steam Horse) and CV = PS but I always thought that CV = PS = HP, and now I realize that 1 CV/PS = 0,986 HP. So for instance: 473HP = 480CV/PS¿?
