Anyways..... I've always had a soft spot for the Chevy Vega

Ever heard of the Cosworth Vega?

Such a great looking hatchback!

You can't really call the 3, much less any new Mazda a "guilty" pleasure. The new Mazdas boast some of the most refreshing designs in recent years, are pleasant to drive and are great value for money. Liking a new Mazda isn't really what I'd call guilty, heck I love the new 2/Demio...

Now this is more like it. I can call these huge-as-everything SUCoupe thingamajigs "guilty"

-> I also have a huge soft spot for the much unloved Volkswagen Eos, especially with the GTI engine and a manual. A car that can do three modes!? Count me in!!!

^ It may be a good daily driver too!

More of a reason as to like the Eos (for me), it's practically the only 2-Door coupe VW has so far.

Too heavy, though.

Too heavy, though.
^ I'm aware that this VW is heavy, but I've driven the 2.0T w/ DSG in LA Auto Show. It handled its weight very well, imagine it with a six-speed manual! Plus I adore its airy feeling of its interior even with the roof up, just slide that shade above you! :dopey:

-> It's a nice cruiser to just to have an easy drive and appreciate your surroundings. If I want to put the hammer down, my E46 is ready. ;)

-> Another car that came to my mind was the C230 Sports Coupe.

^ When it was new, I was really fascinated on the car! Similar to its successor, the CLC...

...and its direct competitor the BMW Compact series:

^ In my eyes, these cars are cool. Heck if I ever want a rally Bimmer I'd pick a 3-Compact!

I know that it is a convertible. Aside from the Karmann Ghia coupe, has VW made any other 2-door coupes that aren't Golfs or Beetles?

Type 3 fastback, notchback (which is more of a 2 door sedan), Jetta I and II 2 door sedans, Scirocco, Scirocco II, Corrado, Scirocco III mentioned above.. But the Type 3 is mostly a Type 1 (Beetle) and the others I mentioned are Golfs so no :P

The 356 and 911 counts though rite? :D (nope, Beetles on steroids are still Beetles lol)

Thanks to @eiriksmil I've developed a strange fascination with the Toyota FunCargo/Yaris Verso.

Hell, even VeilSide did a kit for it

Aw man.. Big love, no homo

Btw, check out the WALD kit for em.. That's the kit I'd love to have.. WALD kit, wide 15s, air ride and respray, can't wait til it's not a daily anymore.

I absolutely hate these with all my heart

-> For people who doesn't understand my intent with the [E36/E46] 3-Compact, here it is:

Imma come out and say it:

Always quite liked them. I find the design interesting - we're totally over Clarkson saying it looks like a dog having a poo, right? - I like that it's vaguely sporty without being an actual sports car (no misplaced desire to prove itself as some kind of corner-carving hardcore machine), and they now have cheapness on their side.

It's a shame they stuck with virtually the same interior that graced the R170 it was based on. Cheap elephant-skin plastics which looked outdated by the turn of the millennium somewhat undermined one of the more leading-edge exterior designs of the early-mid 00s.

Overlaps with the boring car appreciation thread but...

First Gen Citroen C5

Nowhere near as schmexy as its Peugeot cousins but I've always had a desire for these. I do really like the rear.

Oh yes, love the Xanita a lot too but that's not a guilty pleasure.

Vanity spoiler. Bonus points.

The Xantia, eh? I know a bit about those, a neighbour owns a 1.9D version. It isn't 100% original, as it has a bodykit of sorts, but still a cool car. Although I do have to say, my Citroen '90's love lies within a lower-ranked car:

The 1st gen Xsara. Not the 2nd gen, because there's something about its design that puts me a bit off. And of course, this big bad boy:

Oh Citroen, you had such a bold lineup back in the 1990's, it's no wonder you have kept that tradition reasonably well...
