GT5Tune is proud to present The Aventador Bracket Challenge! (ABC)

Each month one of the new DLC cars will be selected based on it's popularity to feature in this event.
Please, for any comments, questions, recommendations, idea's etc etc, feel free to discuss them here. (I know, 1500km isn't 1 mile, I'll fix that)

January - Lamborghini Aventador

Rules: Full explanation and rules can be found here: https://sites.google.com/site/gt5tune/lamborghini-aventador
The Layout is far more asthetically pleasing if you go to the actual page linked.

Bracket Rules:
Tracks:
The 3 tracks will be voted upon, by the GTPlanet Community. Track length is restricted to 2 minute laps or less.
Top Speed needed is addressed above.

Seeding:
The seeding order will be set by your 0-1 mile time, lowest time(fastest) will receive the 1st seed.
Seed testing will be performed on the Route X track from the main menu.
All cars will be tested with an Automatic transmission, with a launch of Max RPM for consistency.
Each entry will be ran 3 times, with the best time of the 3 being used for seeding.

Entries:
Anyone may enter and there are no maximum participants, but only the top 8 seed entries will qualify for the Bracket Challenge.
Due to limited space in the bracket, only 1 entry per Tuning Garage may be entered.
In the event that all 8 entries can not be filled, any uncontested entry, will receive an automatic transfer into the next round.
For example, if only 7 entries are made, the 1st seed will automatically transfer to the second round, due to no 8th seed, placing more importance on seeding priority.

Submissions:
Entries can be submitted via PM through GTPlanet, or sent to KGrinols@Gmail.com.
Entrants may use any layout they please, as long as they contain the appropriate values needed to accurately apply the setup.
Be sure to include your Tuner Name or Garage you'd like used for the

Deadline:
All entries must be made by Friday, February 10th by 11:59 PM PST.

Testing:
This is a single elimination Bracket Challenge, that will take course over 3 separate tracks, one per round.
Each Tune will be driven 10 laps, in an Online Lounge, in Free Run Mode with the following settings:

Grip Reduction: Real
Visible Damage: Off
Mechanical Damage: Off
Slipstream Strength: Low
Tire/Fuel Wear: Off
Penalties: Weak (Active in Free Run)
Transmission: AT
Driving Line: On
ABS: 1
All Others: Off

The best Single Lap Time of all 10, will be used for the bracket.
Lowest Lap Time moves to the next round, where the cars will be retested on the next track.
The three styles of tracks, combined with the Route X seeding, will require tunes to be versatile.

nice!!! i'm loving the aventador and would love to see how the different tunes fair vs each other. i found that switching to a front-bias brake setting has really helped the car handle and brake so much better. currently using 9/8. i might try 10/9.

Adrenaline
Shear genus. Promote a fun competition, that is sure to produce many excellent tunes form some of the best tuners on the site.

Players looking for a Aventador tune have only to keep track of the thread.

You are da'MAN.👍 The various tuners should have a blast with this car.
 CAN'T WAIT:dopey:

Do I understand this right - it's a knock out competition for tuners driving their own cars?

I will be testing each car myself. This will eliminate any variation between tuner driving skills, and provide a consistent testing platform.

I'll have to look at a full list of the tracks, but for the 3 rounds I had 3 'general types' in mind.

Group 1: Wider, open, smooth track.
Grand Valley Speedway
Suzuka Circuit
Fuji
Indy Road Course
Daytona Road Course

Group 2: Elevation tracks, with some high cambered corners.
Trail Mountain
Deep Forest
Cape Ring Periphery
Laguna Seca

Group 3: Smaller, very tight track.
Tsukuba
Grand Valley East (Forward or Reverse)
Top Gear Test Track
Eigar
Rome
One of the smaller Nurb tracks GP or GPD or something like that.

I know there are some tracks missing, but I'll look through them, and then I would create 3 polls, one for each group, and the winning track would be used as the test course.

I'd like to first gauge the interest of tuners, to make sure there's enough interest to fully field the brackets. So if Tuners are at least interested or plan on submitting a Tune, It would be nice if they could make a post letting me know, so we can get a head count, or an idea of the competition.

Good Luck guys!
