Surprised not to find an existing thread for this.
Early Access has begun and the reviews have arrived. According to ACG, its 20 hours if you rush through it, about 50 hours to achieve 100%.
And it has 🐻
🐻 and 🐻 and occasionally it also has 🐻. Only they're not cute and cuddly in this...

EDIT - WARNING FOR EXPLICIT LANGUAGE

IGN score is - well you can guess... ;)

Started it this week-end, liking it so far even if I'm not that far. Getting the same weird feeling with the npc faces as in Starfield, which is something is weird but not sure what. Combat isnt really that good atm but we'll see in a bit. So far I only had easy enemy.

So, I installed in both the Series X and PC to see where it looks/plays better. On the Xbox I have available a balanced visuals mode that gets to 40 fps (on a 120 Hz TV), while on PC I'm getting almost locked 60 fps (it drops here and there) at 1440p by using DLSS.

Tomorrow I'll see how the PC performs at native resolution or using the TSR antialiasing/upscaler native to the Unreal engine it uses.

I was interested until I seen some gameplay and reviews. It doesn’t seem like a bad game, but it’s not groundbreaking either.

I don’t want to pay $100 cad for something that’s mid. I already did that with Outer Worlds.

Five hours in and the game is growing on me. I've done the main quest and some secondary quests around Paradis. It is demanding on the hardware because of the Unreal Engine but I manage above 60 fps @ 1440p with settings on high and ray tracing. A performance tweak would be welcome.

Anyway. Too many unique items in Awewed imo. The first time something unique dropped I thought I found something special and got really excited, but now the game is showering me in unique stuff already.

3.3 GB update available on PC right now and for Xbox too, I assume.

Nice update! Stutters be gone and fps are up (I'm using DLSS on balanced, 90-100 fps on average on the starting island).

Got a few hours in now, this game is pretty good. 👍 Interesting story and side quests, lots of loot and things to fidget with, plenty to explore too. Better than I expected it to be! 👍

The latest update of Nvidia's app makes possible to apply the K preset for super resolution and override the native DLSS configuration, which is limited to 3. I used it yesterday it looks better @ 1440p w/high settings with the frame rate locked at 60 fps (honestly it doesn't need more).

On the other hand, I don't get why so many missions/sub quests so early in the game have 3 skulls, and this is unrelated to the difficulty level you are playing, so they are deadly even in story mode. This needs to be rebalanced or nerfed, IMO.

Balance is perfectly fine, from what you are typing, I can see you arent exploring and upgrading your weapon. Do it. It will lower the difficulty, difficulty is not tied to your level but to your stat. Also dismantle weapon to get mats if you dont have the mats to upgrade your main weapon. Once in paradise you should already have a weapon upgrade to 2 at least and that will be enough to do a side mission where you'll get a rare weapon as reward, from there on, difficulty shouldnt be a problem anymore as long as you keep your equipement upgraded.

It's very important to pay attention to the hint the game is giving you for exploring, there is a lot of place you can climb or discover (waterfall, deep water and more) where there's coffer with loot in it. Not necesserly good stuff but mats to craft and/or upgrade your gear.

I finished the first zone yesterday and I never had any fight with 3 skulls but I upgrade my main weapon and as soon as I got the sword (not gonna say more but you should get it before you leave the first zone, one of the easieest side quest) I used that.

I suggest you also always run with a grimoire (no matter which build you go) because you'll need fire (can be done by your sidekick), ice and electricity at least for the various puzzle and I like to not rely on my companions.

I also did most of my fights with 2 people as I did all side quest before advancing the main quest and you'll get your 2nd companion after a bit in the main quest, so I suggest you get to that part before doing side quests.
