Ayrton Senna's Lotus F1 Car Confirmed for GT6?

VXR
Turn 10 and Microsoft donated $10 to the Haiti relief fund back in 2010 with every purchase of one of their DLC packages.

Good to know MS/T10 actually delve into their bottomless pit of profit and help out a humanitarian cause from time to time. Anyway back on topic. Isn't there a big update scheduled for January next year? It's highly possible that this car will be DLC by then since they've got the graphic model of the car ready to go in the opening movie anyway.

It certainly looks like a game asset, so I'm inclined to think it will come as DLC. Interestingly, the outfit you can purchase in-game is from the McLaren period. There's also a distinct shot (live footage) of the Interlagos kart track in the game opening movie. Seems to me PD will handle this Senna venture with all the care it deserves.

go to good wood and look at the statue at the house/mansion ther3 are4 cars on the statue I think those will be the cars in the dlc

Possible DLC announcement this week? McLaren just posted this on facebook.

A collection of Senna's iconic cars bask in the limelight at the MTC

I don't think Mclaren cares about GT6 that much to hold such announcment for the game, it probably has something to do with the 20yrs anniversary since Senna passed away. :(

I do hope for a GT6 news suprise though, just don't be disappointed if there is no news.

No, I'm pretty sure that McLaren is going to announce something to do with a title sponsor for Formula 1.

Geez, everyone around here always thinks that every single little thing is about v1.05 or DLC.

Most likely to do with a sponsor reveal. I'm just wondering if now that they have signed a deal to return to Honda power, which historically did well for them, if the sponsor reveal will be a return to Marlboro. It's something all 3 of those cars on the picture there have in common and it could mean a return to that iconic white and red paint scheme.

EDIT: On second thoughts, the car closest is the Ford powered MP4/8 ( I thought they were all Honda's ) which Senna used in his wet weather victory at the European GP @ Donnington Park in 1993. Plus I noticed his helmet is there so it's likely to do with Senna's Anniversary but still probably not GT6 releated. Remember there is also that other Senna game in the works.

Tobacco advertising is pretty much banned in Europe.

There is nothing stopping them using the colour scheme however. They could even use the same geometric shapes, they just can't take any money from Marlboro or have the word written on the car.
Think about it, the Lotus is using the John Player colours.
Also white and red are Honda's colours.

Marlboro still 'sponsor' Ferrari in a deal that is due to run out at the end of the 2015 season.

I've always wondered why Marlboro sponsor Ferrari, I mean to the casual observer you would never know that they did. It just looks like a barcode on the car to me (at least on the older models) :odd:. Surely they can't be paying that much to sponsor them compared to other F1 sponsors?

Then again I'm not exactly F1 savvy, so maybe I'm missing something:confused:

$160m per season. Ferrari's season budget is thought to be about $420m, so it's a decent sized chunk.

Look at the two logos.

See the similarities?

Actually, this isn't a secret. Ferrari and Ducati (GP) have sponsorship from Phillip Morris and it heavily influences the livery. That said, to the untrained eye they are not advertising cigarettes.

This. It is part of the kickoff for the new Senna exhibit in London that opened this week. 👍
