I was half expecting to hear that you'd wrecked the MRS.

But this - Well, I think my head may have just exploded.
MoarPicsPlease.

There will be more. And the MR-S is just fine.

Contrary to what most Honda "enthusiasts" believe, the throttle has more than 2 positions...

Yeah, working on that. Been a while since I've even drove an FF around hard, let alone one with any power.

Bloody hell, that looks exactly how I'd always imagined a Civic looking if I had one. Tastefully modified, it looks very nice.

Thanks. I was quite happy with the shape of the body when I went to look at the car. Small dings here and there, but given that is a '93, it is very clean looking.

That thing can do 10s and you still have those pipsqueak brakes on it?

 at 10s. More like when tuned up a high 13. The brake system is the small, base disc/drum Civic system right now. I'll up grading to an Integra system once the weather warms up a little bit.

Oh, right. I should've known better since it doesn't have any stickers.

edit: Performance stickers.

Sounds about right. Current Si's run high-14s at best when stock and on the stock all seasons. Assuming the engines are more or less equal, you've got a lot less weight to deal with and should pull low-14s fine.

B20z with GSR head, Vtec, launch control, and a bunch of other things to make mobbing around highly amusing. More pictures and info when there is better light out for pictures.
Are you effin kiddin' me?

We've got to work on your lingo. It's simply a B20/VTEC, always written like that. That's the important part--you've got a B20 with DOHC VTEC. Also, it's "VTEC", not "Vtec". Always.

So, how does it run? From what I've heard about hybrid motors, they were either built well and run well, or were built badly and run like dog turds.

Rust? Condition of bushings? Vibrations? Loose interior panels? Missing interior panels? Rust? Clutch? Brakes? Cheap suspension? Tell us more, I'm interested.

Now just get rid of those disgraceful headlights and replace them with stock ones. It'll look much better. Also, wash it. And interior pics.

Oh wow. I didn't think you were that serious about going out and getting one...

Nice choice of second car 👍 I like Civics and that one looks like a bit of a subtle monster.

Isn't this like his fourth?

I was thinking something along the same lines...

Yeah yeah. Though I do kind of like the head lights :dunce: Secret ricer in me wants out.

No rust that I've found, paint is good all around (except replaced fender), no random vibrations or loose interior panels. Brakes are base model EG brakes, Skunk2 suspension. Transmission is from a GSR, clutch I'm not sure but has good feel. I'll get some interior pictures tomorrow, along with the engine bay.

Yeah cause the Honda boys get really mad when you don't call it exactly what it is.:D

...along with the engine bay.
If you want to wash your engine bay you'll need some pointers first. It takes a few plastic bags in strategic locations so you don't cause a misfire or kill your distributor.

Yeah, like I am gonna wash the bay right now; just started snowing.

Anyhow, more pictures as requested.

And the driveway (Don't worry, Miata is the roommate's girlfriend's :P)

Shame... that Miata would have made your driveway more awesome b y its permanence (but only if it had a big fat rollbar and deep gashes down the side from an argument with the tirewalls...) :D

Crankdown windows FTW. Its been a while since I've been without them, I miss it already!

I put a plastic bag over my filter and pressure washed the entire thing.

More than a few times without problem. I also do it at work a few times a week without problem.

I washed my Sol's engine bay with a hose...and ended up with a random misfire that lingered for a couple days. I washed the engine bay on the EM1 with the hose, and I got an immediate and pretty ferocious misfire and the thing wouldn't rev above about 2500 rpm. So I let it idle and warm up to evaporate some water, left it sit the rest of the day, and it ended up being fine.

Water in the distributor is a no-no, Cody. I suggest wrapping it up with a plastic bag, along with fuse boxes, like I did on my cousin's old CRX. I sprayed the whole bay and underside of the hood with Simple Green, then hosed it all out. Works great! Just make sure you do that step before you detail the exterior, because Simple Green takes all the wax clean off the paint.

I love those wheels. I have always thought that they match the EG6 so well. Awesome little car you have there!

That's cause they stole them from Spoon.

Loving the sticker, but you also need a pedo bear sticker. Much like mine.

Yes, yes, I know they are knock offs. But whatever.

And I'll refrain from putting a pedo bear on my car... don't really want to explain that to anyone at all :dunce:

So, just filled it up since I first bought it. Put just under 10 gallons in it, reading at Empty. But here is the best part.

Less than 200 miles on the tank

I need to lay off pwning around all ridiculously and see what kind of mileage it gets under sane, normal driving.

My trusty calculator told me I got 34 mpg on a recent highway trip. With three people in my car. At 70 mph. I think my calculator is broken.

But yeah, I get over 400 highway miles on a 12 gallon tank of gas, cruising at about 70. I have no idea how close I've ever been to empty, and I don't want to chance it.

Wow, I hate you Civic guys so much right now. :grumpy:

What is this MPG everyone is speaking of? I measure my fuel consumption by GPM... gallons per minute... ...I used to be able to do 30 MPG on the highway... about 38 if I reaaaaally stretched it with my 2.0... but since I got my cams in, I'm lucky if I break 25.

And here I was thinking that Cody was getting decent mileage :dunce:

I get between 230 - 275 miles on 12.xx gallons. The least I've gotten was less than 50 miles, the most was close to 300.

Mind you, this was with spinning tires, redline pulls constantly in 2nd, going up to 100+ MPH, and just driving it like an ass constantly. I'm sure with somewhat civil driving it will be a lot better. And I mean a lot.

Last time I checked I was getting 38mpg highway.

You have the 1.5 don't you? I think those were one of the most efficient petrol engines Honda produced at the time. Official UK mpg for that model is 43. Even the base model 1.4 isn't as efficient. The 1.5 is one of the models I'm looking at to replace my car.
