Ummm...Holy Crap, I think that's the coolest way I've ever seen to get rid of a pair of tires.

And what caught on fire?

Thats our yearly Summer nationals in Canberra, pretty crazy event.

Nice HK Holden Monaro, I would like it better if he could keep it all under bonnet/hood.

Mmm, Summernats . Hotel booked, car serviced... I'm ready!

Mmhh... I was surfing trough some of the pictures of this events in years past, and there is one word to describe the Australian muscle car street machine scene: 6-71 blower. You guys seem to really like the most stupid big thing poking out of hoods. It seems that every roots blower taken off of muscle cars in the US back in the 90s found it's way to Australia!

Now, not that that is a bad thing, I love old-style superchargers, but some of the combinations look really odd. 22 inch chrome wheels and a Littlefield with two Dominators on a Torana with multicolor splash graphics down it's sides and a trunkfull of woofers? Certainly, it is an odd scene over there, but it sure looks like tons of fun.

Holy 🤬! That's some damn smoke there. I'm sure, somewhere, a Prius just pissed itself.

Cheers,

Pretty much, when people just want the power without the engine blocking the view we go twin turbocharged usually. Most of the dyno queens are this way.

Like that?

Quote of pure WIN!

oy, those summernats are tempting me to contact the tourist board for down there, and find out what I need to visit. seriously! be a hockey-sticks of a vacation.

those drivers got in trouble for those burnouts because it was outlined in the pre race drivers briefing that no burnouts were allowed.

but now due to public pressure the rules have changed so they can do burnouts after a race, but only in specific areas.

Speaking of V8 Supercar burnouts, check out one on you tube from Shane Van Gisbergen winning at Hamilton this year. His victory lap was awesome. I would search for it and post it but I'm roaming on my iPhone and my data rate is stupid while roaming.

Double post? Did you click on both links or even read the links themselves? They are 2 separate links

Double Posting

“Double posting” occurs when a user makes two consecutive posts, one after another. If this is done for no apparent reason, or if the posts are unimportant, “double posting” is looked down upon and may result in a warning or infraction for “spam”. You can edit any of your forum posts on GTPlanet at any time, and this is generally the best option to take if you have more to add to the discussion. However, it is not expressly forbidden, and can be useful in many cases. For example, if a reasonable amount of time has passed or you have significant information to add to the topic, present it in a new post so that others, including thread subscribers, are made aware of the update

this is done for no apparent reason, or if the posts are unimportant

It's a burnout thread with YouTube videos, I'm linking to burnout videos so it's done for a very apparent reason which makes my posts important.. Take your policing elsewhere

You can put them in the same post. If you don't like the rules of the website then don't post here.
