Haruna Tsuchigami, team director: "We finished exactly where our cars placed, which, in our GT300 squad's case, was a good thing. Our GT500 squad ran out of time though, a shame considering how well the rest of the Honda cars were running."
Ai Tsuchigami, #211 starter: "It was an uphill battle for me. I was stuck at the back of the pack for most of my stint, and just couldn't find any openings in the numerous traffic jams until it was far too late. By the time I handed the car back to Ludwig, we were right back where we started. My day could have been a lot better, but at least it didn't get worse."
Ludwig von Sternberg, #211 finisher: "After my lady handed off the car to me, I knew we were going to need a charge up through the field to move up any places. The Frontier strategists thought the same thing though, and once Batbayar had me in her sights, she just completely overpowered me. No worries about our performance right now, it is only the first round, after all."
Sanae Kanzaki, #21 starter: "We had a good run in qualifying; we were literally running circles around every other car! But we got really lucky dealing with the faster cars. Some of the GT500 teams employed some really aggressive driving; we got worried more than once when we heard reports of cars in our class being punted off-course or spinning."
Amy Radcliffe, #21 finisher: "WOOOOOOOOOOW!! My first race in my dream series, and I've already won! This is TOTALLY the best series debut I've EVER had!! Absolutely nothing could have possibly stopped our dream team today!! I'm so ecstatic for what the next races will bring!!!!!! Bring on Fuji!!"
