TIME FOR ANOTHER COME BACK BOYZ

and then lose 5 spots in the closing stages

The #17 car gained an astonishing 8 places with Kazue Tatsuya in the car, going from 10th to a podium 3rd. Up front, it has yet to meet up with the Petronas HSV and the ARTA HSV. There is much racing still left, and a still a chance for the Raiden car to climb higher. We will have the full details at the end of the race. See you then!

Haruna Tsuchigami, team director: "We finished exactly where our cars placed, which, in our GT300 squad's case, was a good thing. Our GT500 squad ran out of time though, a shame considering how well the rest of the Honda cars were running."

Ai Tsuchigami, #211 starter: "It was an uphill battle for me. I was stuck at the back of the pack for most of my stint, and just couldn't find any openings in the numerous traffic jams until it was far too late. By the time I handed the car back to Ludwig, we were right back where we started. My day could have been a lot better, but at least it didn't get worse."
Ludwig von Sternberg, #211 finisher: "After my lady handed off the car to me, I knew we were going to need a charge up through the field to move up any places. The Frontier strategists thought the same thing though, and once Batbayar had me in her sights, she just completely overpowered me. No worries about our performance right now, it is only the first round, after all."

Sanae Kanzaki, #21 starter: "We had a good run in qualifying; we were literally running circles around every other car! But we got really lucky dealing with the faster cars. Some of the GT500 teams employed some really aggressive driving; we got worried more than once when we heard reports of cars in our class being punted off-course or spinning."
Amy Radcliffe, #21 finisher: "WOOOOOOOOOOW!! My first race in my dream series, and I've already won! This is TOTALLY the best series debut I've EVER had!! Absolutely nothing could have possibly stopped our dream team today!! I'm so ecstatic for what the next races will bring!!!!!! Bring on Fuji!!"

Ah, PST timezones... There's hardly a chance for me to watch any stream if they all happen at 2:00AM around these parts. It's a shame, but I can't afford to be awake for such a long period. #sleepisntoverrated

As for my result, it was not quite the pace I displayed during the Suzuka test sessions. Especially when my fellow GT-R counterpart from Nameless managed to maintain his pace (a good one at that)... Looks like Nico is in need of a pep talk, and Ichiro is in need of a Sakura. Or a Gemini. Or an Erica...

Thrilled with the result naturally, thought lxmmy was sure to win after dominating qualifying. To take the lead just 1 or 2 laps before the race end was just perfect! Whatever happens during the rest of the season, I'll be glad about this one race given it was probably the only 1 I'll be able to watch live!

Do what I did - fall asleep on the sofa, randomly wake in the middle of the night, and then make sure you check GTPlanet before finally making it to bed...

Problem is, whenever I wake up in the middle of the night, it's to make a quick trip to the WC. And with my PC being long off by then, I can't just stroll to the division where it's placed just to turn the PC on, you know what I mean? And yes, that also applies to tablets and smartphones... Now with the added bonus of university from next week onwards!

I fell asleep midway through the race as well, my internal clock is already waking up at work time during the weekends '-'

I'll take 6th, seems my car isn't ever in winning contention but it can at least land some solid finishes.
