How much money do you earn using this widget, for, say 12 hours?

I'm earning $750,000 credits. Is that out of step? Since I was hoping to max out my six drivers at 20 million, that's 120 million. That's 16 days if I run the widget for 12 hours a day (we bought a PS3 to play games on).

Am I way off in my estimation?

No it's not. I don't have anywhere near enough time to play GT5 every single day. I'm not even in the same city every single day.

So that's why. Feel free to take advantage of the multiplier. I can't. I bet most can't. To each his own.

Do you have an answer to my question, though? Curious how fast others accumulate money with the widget.

Fair point. Though you don't have to be logged in consecutively all the time, only for the 5 days prior to when you plan on receiving.

Indeed.

I know I used to make about half a million per driver in a 12-hour period, but that was with getting them in 1st to 6th, now, not so sure. Maybe 1.5 Million in 12 hours?

the app is stuck on "starting race" screen, any idea what to do? i did a restart of everything a few times with nothing changing :/
anyone have any ideas???

Try to clear the network cache on your PS3, from within GT5: Go to 'options'-menu, then 'network utility' to find the function.

Or maybe the Yahoo widget has corrupted its own registry..
That can be fixed by unstalling/reinstalling the Yahoo Widget shell... After reinstalling Yahoo-shell, just add the B-spec widget again, reconfigure and then you are ready to go again. 👍

The highest pay-out for a race is around 1800 credits per minute (Indy speedway-race).. But that is only if you are winning every race..

I recon, that a payout around 600.000 credits over 12 hours is more likely to be 'normal'.

so i tried, and failed :(
is it compatable with xp? if not ill go 7 and try again.
for now, just put a stapler on the enter key of a keyboard :) and bspec all the way to the moon!

All depends on how many drivers you have racing, but if you make an average of 10K per driver per race for, say, 5 of your drivers, and times that by roughly 30 races you can do in 12 hours, that's 1.5 Million. But yes, if you've got less drivers racing, you'll end up with less credits, that's for sure.

I just responded about possible income per driver as this was the 'unit' discussed in your first post...

But yes, I have no argue to the fact, that the more drivers you activates, the more credit you will get in total.. No dispute there..
But then I will add, that you in a race fully loaded (16 b-spec drivers), and getting 6 of your own drivers run repeatedly, you can expect to get approximate 3-4 million in total, in 12 hours..

An average payout is around 13-15.000... Payout for 1st is 27-30.000, last spot gives about 2.500... Statistical you will be 'guaranteed' an 8th-place payout in average, equal to before mentioned 13-15.000.
Doing the Indy-race, which takes 15 minutes + 1 minute recycle, you will be able to do 45 races on 12 hours.. 6 drivers each earning around 675.00, get you an payout of 4 mill. in 12 hours...

All that said.. If you have high-level drivers against low-level drivers, the payout will be considerably larger, as skills DO matters.. :sly:

B-spec Skills only matter in Nascar
Car selection and grid position over rules B-spec skills.
Getting the Honda NSX in any Car class event will supper-seed B-spec skills up to a point
As will getting any of these super cars in events.

Cars to pray for include.
Enzo, Shelby cobra, CT230R '08, Audi R8 LMS, W12, R92CP, Honda NSX.

You will also be Praying to avoid the lemon car per events..

And all I did was respond to the following question:

How much money do you earn using this widget, for, say 12 hours?

And my answer was:

I know I used to make about half a million per driver in a 12-hour period, but that was with getting them in 1st to 6th, now, not so sure. Maybe 1.5 Million in 12 hours?

The first sentence was just a little bit of historical information, the second was an answer to the question that was asked.

Just to clarify.

But then I will add, that you in a race fully loaded (16 b-spec drivers), and getting 6 of your own drivers run repeatedly, you can expect to get approximate 3-4 million in total, in 12 hours..

Which, however, doesn't apply to me. I, for one, wasn't trying to tell anyone what they should be making, I was just answering a question. ;)

Thanks very much, Doctorrg and others, for answering my question!

Sounds like my results are about normal.

I was just racing the seasonals (not just Le Sarthe) before the 2.00 update, so I was used to making a few million each hour long session I manage to play. I'll still do that for fun, but now my earnings are much lower. This isn't a big problem, since I rarely see a car I want to buy, but I figure if I max out my b-spec drivers, I will have a nice reserve.

Is there a list of current people running the widget regularly? I ran it a lot back when B-spec 1st came out, but life kinda got in the way & I've not played GT5 for some time. I've come back to it now & of the 70-odd B-specers I had before only 1 is running my Bobs daily...& that's only 3 races. This is despite me leaving the widget on all nighters running 20-odd races a few times a week.

If you are a regular widget user feel free to add me...PSN: Blue2moro quoting B-Spec in the friend request...

Now I'm just off to cull some freeloaders that havn't raced any of my Bobs in a month...:grumpy:

Don't forget to cash in during your "200% bonus" period :)
Great exp and credit reward

My regular account currently has the 200% bonus.

My backup account does not.

I am running the Grinder from my backup account, with all 6 of the drivers from my regular account.

Will those 6 drivers have their prizes be at the 200% level? Or does the prize level depend on the account hosting the race?

EDIT: hmm...it seems like it doesn't matter, all that matters is when I go to receive the prizes. That's cool, I guess, I will just make sure I'm at the 200% level before I receive prizes.

Just loving this widget, and my on-line buddies appear to love me giving them all that free xp!

Just 1 question, and with 182 pages to read, I thought it quicker just to ask.

In post 1, in the demo it appears there is a screen that shows you how the race is progressing. I don't appear to have that. Is there a reason for that?

I'm on Windows Vista.

Thanks in advance, and apologies if this has been asked already.

M.

That screen is from the website of gran-turismo.com, which by Sony/PD is the intended place to setup and start your remote races, in a manually fashion...
It is via that very same website, that the B-Spec Grinder automatically operates your remote races..

The link for UK are: http://eu.gran-turismo.com/gb/
Login to the 'GT5 My Home' in upper right corner, with your GT5 PSN-id...

Cheers..

I thought that could have been the case, but if you don't ask, you won't know. Thank you for getting back. :)
