B-Spec Grinder 2.5.2: Automate Remote Races

It wasn't loading at all and that's the reason why I went to the website to remote race. Following this race, I am going to see what the widget does. If it doesn't connect again, then I will obviously have to continue using GT's site or do it manually from the PS3.

So you can actually log out of the site and log back in?

I couldn't log in for about 10 minutes but now its fine. After this race I will run the grinder and see what happens.

I can login now using the EU servers (set my country to Germany within the widget), but can't when using the US servers. Logging in takes 3 times as long now though but thats better than never heh.

Edit: Doh, can't anymore. Oh well.

No debug window option is available to be opened on my macbook, so all I keep getting is the server issue or a forbidden command and it doesn't open.

EDIT: Now its just failing to connect to Sony's Servers, rendering the widget useless at the moment.

first of all thanks alot for this widget, i've installed now and i'm trying to connect, but it won't
it's probably not the widget because when i try to log in to my page at the GT5 site it says this function is not available.
don't know if anyone else can't connect

i can't login from the widget/gt website as well. I can still run b-spec remote race from the ps3 console itself though, and let me tell you... adding drivers from the console so much faster with the traffic cut off from the website, lol, no offense, i love the widget.

Other way around for me. I found it faster to add the drivers from the computer. The selection process hangs constantly on my PS3 which is not too comforting.

I was having the "unable to connect" problem and I've noticed that sometimes when Windows loses its Internet connection, it will sometimes tell other apps that the site is down until the page is loaded in a browser. I loaded us.gran-turismo.com in Chrome and it was able to load after that.

Try loading http://www.gran-turismo.com/, http://us.gran-turismo.com/, http://eu.gran-turismo.com/, and http://store.playstation.com/ in your browser to try to get Windows to see that they're online.

mines doing the same thing. trying to connnect and says failed to connect to sony's server. make sure your computer can connect to the following addresses. on a Mac and can open all sites.

Please give it a try. I just had the problem again and loading all four pages in tabs fixed it.

I loaded it and the widget is now working. I think it might have been a server issue though that is not connected to the websites.

Looks like Sony's server issues are clearing up for me here in Southern California. Sony Store login page started working again about 30 min ago, and the BSG has worked fine ever since.

Actually seems a little snappier now. Ninja upgrade, oh Sony?

I use my dummy account to host and are looged in on "us.gran-turismo.com" for watching with my main account.
The app had logon problem as above, I logged out of GT home, then when trying to log in i hangs on "https://us.gran-turismo.com/us/gt5/signin/"

I rebootet PC and your app logged successfully and startet a race :-)
But still I could't log in to my GT home. So the problem isn't your app.

Just for testing, I enabled debug window and restarted the app. This time no connection

Now 5 minutes later I made a sucessfull logon both GT home and your app "03/03/11 23:00:02.717: Race has started"

So for the moment you are lucky to get thru.

I am getting the error of "TypeError: CONFIG.currentEvent has no properties (Race.js: Line 215)"

The widget works great when I select Long Events. Any thing other than that it locks up.

would it be possible to make it so that you can select excatly which of the long runs you want to make?

daytona takes around 19.40ish minutes to complete the others are 22-23 minutes a peiece.

Would it be possible to make it so you can select some users where you leave none of their drivers and some you dont? So that if i know my friend always shuts hes PS3 down at night i can tell my grinder to use all hes 6 drivers?

Yeah that would be great.

If you're going to implement more features or setting options, I would find it nice when you provide both the new "ultimate" version and the current "lite" version.

Might be a server issue, or you just need to get a race going from gt.com first. Once it's running, start up the widget and it should join the race and say "racing". After it's done, it should start the next race..
