b8 is impossible

i dont see what the fuss is about i got it in 15mins. But ive run Trail mountain a lot in wrs 99, and a few other wrs so ive done that corner to death. the key is power as soon as possible and late apexes for all corners.

You got the test completed, or you got gold in 15 minutes? If the latter, my hats off to you, 'cause it took me hours to nail all the corners right. Then to have my PS2 lock up before I could save, so I had to do it again only took me about another hour.

I'm proud of myself, though, I managed to get gold in the B and A licenses. to heck with getting golds in any of the others (except maybe rally, just 'cause it's a lot of fun). I'll get 'em, but I won't care what color the trophy is... *lol*

Just to make sure, though, getting golds in all the licenses isn't required for 100% completion, is it? If so, I'm screwed. :)
 
Just keep trying and trying and you get there in the end. High exit speed is the key!

And Getting Golds isnt necessary for 100%, it just looks good.
 
For whatever reason, I've never had any trouble with B8, either when I originally got the license or when I went back for golds after completing the game to 100%. I've heard a lot of people complain about it, though.

The one in B that killed me was trying to herd the stupid Aston (or Jaguar, I forget) around the center section of Midfield. For some reason, I just do not get along with that track very well.

The B8 test you all loved - which first made its bow in the original GT - is back in GT4! :D

yep golded in 15min, A,B and most IB arnt too hard to gold, but once they are done then it requires more work.
 
The new B8 should be alot easier now for GT4, seeing that this thread was started almost 2 years ago. I wasn't very good back then.:ouch: I'm sure all of us have improved somewhat.
 
damn i wish i had the US version as i just got 42.815 :( and i dont think i could do it again.. lol

I remembering golding it the summer of 2004 and from my records I can see that I have the following results: (picture)



...you can just imagine the pain of getting 42.802.. :ill:

That thing is evil... as you would know the required time is 42:800 seconds but the best that i can get is 42.978 seconds... its so frustrating...

I just did that several days ago with the S license Laguna run with the Dodge Viper Team Oreca race car. It took me a ridiculous two hours to get gold. That's shameful for me. I was able pass this one in just a few tries before, but not anymore. When I got a ,oo1 time, I blurted out, "Awe, come on! That's not fair!" :lol:

I'm running various gold license tests again to "get my chops up" and to build up the callouses on my fingers. That way when I tear into GT4, I wont do it with virgin flesh. My return to the game is proving I'm not as great as I used to be, which was the case last time I went for all gold about 7 months ago. Getting older sucks.
 
Finally beat 0'49''800 on B8 last night! My best time in :bowdown: 0'49''652:bowdown: , reached with a simple dualshock...

Trick: before last corner (before long final tunnel), make a large trajectory, then crawl the rocks on the left (not too hard); your speed now will let you to make last corner without brake or reduce your speed releasing the x button.

yes, its because of WRS that im soo much better. Notice the link to WRS in my sig ;).

I recommend the wrs to any GT fan, it improves your driving so much.

yeah, i haven't played since about June, but I saw the SWEEEEEEETEST GT4 commercial two days ago and can't stop thinking about it now. So i played some GT3 today and it didn't take to long to get back in the groove. I just Ran complex string in my Lotus until i felt comfortable, then i just ran it over and over with different cars.

Is a 4:07 a decent time for the string? in a F1 car, a 687/s. i'm not an expert but was wondering if this was a somewhat ok time.
