ok im not one to go on and on but these backfire pics are going a bit far they dont even look good anymore yeah cars backfire in gt4 whoopdiedoo, some of these pics are good and some just look damn cheesy and that carn't be denied, i wud say the key to a gud backfire shot is an excelent photo in itself, which happens to have a backfire in it because there are to many shots on here just concentrating on the backfire its self and to be truthfull its kinda gettin darn right boring !

anyone else agree ??

I agree that if you don't like them, you should not click on the thread dedicated to them. 💡

Hope you like it :) It's the most ugly car in GT4: Nissan Option Z >_<* But it backfires great!

this one time, i was walking into my house, and a car drove by and backfired the loudest backfire ive heard in my life. i seriously almost fell to my knees in fear. i swear to god i thought i had been shot in the back.

How did you get the sponsors on the car? Did you win it that way or what? Also, to anyone around, how do you reduce backfire, I got pics of em but I wanted to know how to reduce them to save my engine.

That Vette is won in American Hall if I remember correctly. Nothing is done to "get" the livery, it's a C2 Race car, cannot be purchased, unlike the street C2 in Chevy dealer.

To reduce cook off (or whatever one feels like calling it, but it's definely not backfire) as best as I can tell, stay w/ the stock exhaust, seems to play a role in the flambe' of the paint. Beyond that, to my limited knowledge, the flaming doesn't hurt the engine in the least bit, if it was truly backfire, and KY/PD went to the effort of coding that in, then yes, it would be a reasonable assumption that it hurts the engine. However, since it's just overly rich exhaust cooking off, no engine damage occurs since it takes place well outside of the combution cycle. For reference, watch a DTM race, more flames in one race than on all of GTP, and I highly doubt they would allow a multi 1000 euro/DM/$$ engine to routinely go around combusting through the intake.

I have spent hours doing the 4 cars I have.... the photomode is very addicting.

I too see my images as very dark..... maybe those with normal screens can see my pics in all the glory that I cant. Someone says that its the CRT screens? Arent alot of the older TV's CRT? I know mine is..... funny that is normal there but all dark to me on the comp. OH WELL.

I have managed to get good at catching the backfires.

All of my pics can be seen here....

I'd like to help with requests but I only have about 5 cars right now because I didnt take the 100k.

Here's my contribution, The GT40 being the first photo I took w/ GT4, the second being a C3 @ Seattle, just liked it, especially the glow on the tarmac.
