Base models - what will you do with them?

Paint them and change their numbers. Because that's all you can do.

Play along. Do you have a specific color and number that you like to use? Also can you change the wheels? Is there a certain style wheel you like to use? See, this can be fun!

For American classic car RMs, I liked to do the classic colors with steel wheels, and make them look like period-correct racecars. For Japanese cars, I like a metallic lime green with a bead blasted wheel. For European cars, I like a vivid yellow with black wheels. For numbers, I use 1, 3, 7, 57, and 74, all for varying personal reasons.

I think it's a slightly good move in the right direction. I don't race online (much) but those who do, you can have a racing series with identical racecars that have different colours and numbers. It's no livery editor but it's a start I guess.

For me it would be some shade of blue or red with #5.

Two of each, #6 & #71. Might go off-white with matte dark green wheels if we can colour them. If not, black chrome or Super Autobacs Orange.

Well its basically mandatory that the very first base model has to be in Matte Black (or Matte White) since they are basically the closest things I have to Test cars. The others however, Likely Blue and probably numbered 32.

If you can have multiple colors, I would put Red/Blue on the car and white wheels with the number 76, representing Independence Day (July 4, 1776). Gotta love the USA. :)

I would also do a Maroon car with white wheels and a number 12, representing the 12th Man at Texas A&M. Gig 'em! 👍

Metallic Blue, white or any shade of gray and/or black. The number depends on the car, and it usually hints something about the car itself. If I'm driving the M3 GT, I'll most likely choose the number 92.

Number 42. Because Life, the Universe, and Everything.

Color is whatever happens to tickle my fancy, for the particular car. I don't have a rigid go-to color.

I wonder if we can pick a color for the numbers? I'd like to use flat paint for them if possible.

Most likely Champion Blue #13 with black rims, but that may change, as some colors just plain look better on a certain car.

Al depends if i join a racing series but a darkish purple (midnight purple iii maybe) with black chrome 5 spoke wheels.

Blue (like a Sapphire blue or maybe Gran Turismo Blau), gold wheels, number 25. However much further cars can be customized depends. For instance... I might even go with blue with gold stripes or some gold accents. Or, I may go with one of my alternative colors- red (ruby red or crimson) and gold.

All my GT5 RMs get #24 but the colour is model dependant. I wonder if the Peugeot 908 HDi FAP Base Model is black or carbon fibre as if it's the latter I will not touch it. Bare carbon fibre race cars are one of the most purposeful looking things in life.

Colours will vary but the number will always be my old karting number, 25.
You lie, you'll have a purple body with gold rims just like always. :sly:

While a livery editor would have been better I think the base models should be a nice touch for leagues, add a little uniqueness to the grid instead of looking like all the other leagues (past and present). Nothing terribly exciting but at least it's something. 👍
