Hey guys, this message is partly to say hi and let everyone know I'm still active here. However, I'm starting a full time job in a couple days and because most of the lobbies are opened at 10PM GMT, I'm going to be joining a little less often as I have to be up earlier each morning than I used to. Hope everyone is well anyways.

My fault for false lobby, I didn't have time to cancel lobby due to emergency call that I've received from a close friend of mine. He's doing fine now head on collision with another car so my apologizes for that. I will also be starting work from 8-4. I will be active in the afternoon and weekends also.

Guys I won't be on until October 10ish because that's when I'm getting my TV delivered. Gotta do the mail in rebate at home because I can't print and I'm too lazy to walk to the computer lab

I think it's time to say my final goodbyes to this club....

Not only to this club, but to some of the people I've hanged with three clubs ago. You guys were the first people I was around when I first started GTPlanet and one of the few "families" that I've grown up and matured with. We all shared some good memories together, shared some bad times together as well, but the big picture was that we were all together: from DBeav's club, to WHaT and Ameer's dual clubs, and this current club. It's rare for someone like me to stay around for as long as I did (since mid-late 2013) because, as a few of you known, I lose interest relatively fast.

Now, the times has changed. My interest in gaming has diminished pretty heavily over the course of this year. I went from playing on it several times a week to maybe once a week or two weeks. GT6 has definitely ran it's course way too long for me to get the same enjoyment as I did with GT5. And later this year, I plan on giving my PS3 away as a Christmas gift, so my time in the last gen world is dwindling.

Thank you, @Ameer67 and @Beav (you will always be DBeav to me) and to those that known me for the past year or two, for the times I had on here on GTPlanet and for sticking around me. I feel as though my posting periods on GTP will be getting smaller and smaller; it does not mean that I have disappeared however. In between now and before Christmas, you may see me pop up at random. But... I figured I leave a note before this club goes away.

And here lies the mark where Aki Ishikawa slowly disappears from GTPlanet...

As @Ameer67 would say, "another next gener." Other than bad servers, there were still fun times (I still haven't been able to actually catch you in a GTPD chase :grumpy:) but y'know... k :sly:
I haven't said that I was moving up the food chain. It's a possibility, but I'm still not hyped for it.

It's tough saying adios to a long time friend like you. How long has it been man? 2-3 years? From way back in DBeav's first club as Nissan Lover, to here in the Joyride Crew as Aki Ishikawa, you've always been one of those friends you know you can trust. Either way, we've definitely had our fair share of good times messing around. You've ran with me and ran away from me. Keshawn, you have seen the change and evolution of everyone in your very own eyes this whole time.

$500/500

Please insert 3 Ameercoins to hear a rant from Aki about the last sentence.

In serious talk: As I said, I haven't disappeared yet. We're still able to communicate. It's been about 2 full years since I do remember joining July or so- it was a few months before Beav's club went under... the troubled period.
And that is true... I witnessed the evolution and change of everyone that has stuck with this club, the evolution of you maturing and doing things that surpass my levels at a faster rate than me, and the evolution and change of myself.

It's been great to have you guys around.
Plus the number of times he ran from me, which will total out at...
$1 billion US dollars.
:P
*Salt levels increased*

Until GT7 comes out, I think we can all agree that GT6 will need all the help it can get if it wants a decent fanbase. Really considering Project Cars because of the Cali HighWay. Can you do a free roam in Project Cars like GT6? Imagine a Skype session and Project Cars on the Cali Highway.

PCARS is 70% race cars and the online doesn't have any free run mode like in GT6 that I know of.
PCars as good as it is only have a paint job as customization and the custom vinyl being PC only.

I was cruising on Transfagarasan road mod on rFactor. No customization also but loads of cars. I like playing it. Cheap also.

@Aki Ishikawa Adios :) we will miss you. Probably cruise on a better game SOON :D

Plus the correct spelling would be "Ameericoins". Just saying.

Everytime I see some GTP members leaves from GT Series, Racing Games, Gaming in general or even GTP....

lie-down-try-not-to-cry-cry-a-lot.png

I'm gonna miss you...

And now as schools will start soon, my gaming time (or maybe the whole free time) might drop heavily...

...so soon I might leave this club since the only time I could join is around the "weekends" - and the weekends in here are somewhat different...

You know what I'm proud of though? This is the only cruise club in the last 3 (4?) years that actually made it to its 1 year anniversary.
But what's weird about this is back in the GT5 days, I think we just had so much more fun then that we already hit an anniversary. We didn't have to deal with the server problems (at least not as bad as today's problems :ill:). Now, all we can ever do in a lobby is:
Player 1: "Hey you gotta rejoin k"
Player 2: "really how many on track"
Player 1: "12"
Player 2: "What! I only have 4" (Pardon bad grammar, but this is all that ever happens nowadays)

Because of this, it's impossible to have fun on GT6 because all you ever do is rejoin rooms and ask how many people are on the track, which is very annoying. :irked: But blame it on Kaz.

EDIT: 600th post on GTP!

Show us the first ever cruise thread to appreciate our anniversary :D

(This thread is picking up. Keep it up guys.)

It is?!?

Is GT Clubs during GT5/GT6 are so bad that it doesn't last a single year!?
There's a balance when it comes to clubs, whether it be online game clubs or real life clubs:

The members in them and the enthusiasm/energy of the club.

If there's an imbalance between the two, then you can see a spiral failure. The thing is... like almost every thing else in real life, it is prone to fail and die one day. Some members come and go, infatuating the motivation and passion to keep the club alive. Some members stay because they feel comfortable with the people involved. The members that do stay help continue the life span of the club for some time. Then, there is the enthusiasm of the club. Clubs that are made in mind to just have a good time can either last for a long time (like this club) or die very quickly.

It's all in the energy and mind to keep something going for long... but again, anything is this life is prone to degrade and die. I had a lot of energy when I first came here, but that died down over the years. This is why you rarely see me in a lobby; in fact, you can check out my activity just for this club thread alone. The posting periods have jumps the as you start from the beginning and reach to current day. It's not that I hate this club; it's more of that I've lost the energy, the motivation, the enthusiasm to continue my existence here. That's why I asked for Ameer to let someone else take my spot a few months ago, but haven't really left the club.

This sounds really depressing... and I've kinda hit the depression bell again, but it's not far from the truth.

"Not the fall that's kills you. Its the impact."

"Not the no updates that kills GT6. Its the degrading community and lack of information and communication between Developer-Community and Inter-Community".

I've got this instinct as soon as tuners like Praiano steps down. If he is a virus, then now its basically spreading like plague.

When i play GT6 alone customizing cars to pass time is it just me or do I just worry that PD is falling a bit (A lot) behind forza? like i wish we had a bit update with new cars new rims etc. if only.

New real life cars. They suck on it by a lot.

Mclaren P1, for example. Or that Honda convertible, best for cruising.

I try to make the most out of GT6. But it just....cant.

On the other hand PCars subforum is ruined by bugs discussion so, thats an advantage i guess?

Hope is a word that we used a lot during GT5. To be honest, GT5 had more features than GT6. The only thing GT6 has over GT5 is the Community Features, but no one ever uses it because you can't view what lobbies for the Clubs are open. You have to go into the club, click on lobby and then view it there.
Tl;Dr Course creator better come out quick or we will never notice Kaz-Chan ever again... Senpai.
