Drive up to Seattle, it's only about 3hrs(illegally little over 2hrs, not recommended). I usually go see them couple times a year. It's great!

Are you sure? Why are there baccy ad's on these?

(Circled in yellow)

Well fosters is a beer company but the thing is there is a media ban on cigarette advertisments except Austrlia's media cant stop Malboro from sponsering ferrari and lucky strike from sponsoring honda etc.

Oz
ironic, isn't it, that Oz sends their worst beer o/s.

probably because no one here drinks it.

anyways - on the Australian tobacco ban, there is an exemption for F1 teams. Big Bernie said we had to have it or the F1 would be taken off us.

It stands in every other arena.
Its almost like corona from mexico and to a lesser extent Smirnoff (kind of american).

Damn you, Polyphony Digital... see what you made me do?? :yuck: :ill: I was in a bar in Barbican, London last night (Fluid), and they had Kirin on draught... well, if it hadn't been for those pesky ads in GT4, I wouldn't be sitting here with a headache right now... (you could say that my head is kirin' me... :sly: ) Also, in my Kirin-fuelled drunken state last night, I did a few laps of Infineon raceway, and joined the National Rifle Association... :ouch: (Check out the earlier posts in this thread...^)...
Also, the Jaguar XJR9 '88 has subliminal advertising... everyone knows that the livery on the car means 'Silk Cut'...(cigarettes available in the UK).... hmmm, the plot thickens... I'm going to start smoking. BTW, Kirin is £3.00 a pint, which is $5.63 to you Americans... so this hangover wasn't cheap!

At Suzuka, there are several ads that say ENEOS with eneos also printed inside a small red box next to the big text, and they look suspiciously like the LEGO ads. So, is ENEOS the JPN version of LEGOS

In some European countries there is a blanket tobacco advertising ban. Thats why Jordan are known as the 'Buzzin Hornets' due to not being able to advertise Benson & Hedges cigarettes. Some of the other teams that have tobacco advertising on the rear fins of the cars display the names of the drivers instead of the actual sponsors in these countries. I do know that in the UK now, this is the case with tobacco advertising as a lot of sports have lost a lot of their funding through it. Embassy have had to pull all their sponsorship of sporting events. If an event is taking place overseas though, the sponsors will still get their advertising due to the media coverage as the advertising is governed by the actual country the event is taking place in.

Wow Duefo, if you can't find it in you to contribute something worthwile, come back later. Anyways, I never look at the ads as i am concentrating on racing! :D

Sorry, I thought pointing out the faults of some Americans was worthwhile (by the way, I'm being sarcastic, thought I may have to point that out)

Anyway, I don't know how it could be possible to contribute something worthwhile in a thread about beer ads in a computer game! I thought it may be nice to join in on a thread that goes off on a tangent whilst I'm in no fit state to play the game!
