I have a computer room which is actually quite large, 14' x 12', with a 'notch' where the door is, so that wall is actually 16' long but its neighbor wall has the closets ... well whatever ... I have a 16' long wall with nothing but a power outlet on it.
When I moved in I painted it a nice purple, my favorite color, and planned to frame and hang my black and white photography on it. HA! That costs money and takes lots of time. I have a new plan which is already in action.
I'm gathering up a BUNCH of my photography, both color and black & white, and scanning what was film or prints, and copying what was already digital, and printing it all out on our color laser printers at work. They do a pretty good job for what it costs me ... NOTHING! (: Then I'm mounting (gluing) the prints on 'fomecore board' which is like 1/4 inch thick foam board samiched by two sheets of paper, all black. Then I put two more riser blocks behind the big board so it'll stand out from the wall a bit. Cut out the pictures so they're frameless and attach it to the wall with rolled over scotch tape and the pictures look like they're floating a half inch off the wall.
