BEHOLD!!! The purple wall ...

Wow! Loud ever thought of a career in Drafting. Thats what all my house layouts look like. We even label them with things such as big ass desk, and very cool chair. ;)

Heh heh, actually I have (: My favorite label in there is the server. PapaSmurf was our fileserver at work for a very long time and when it was retired I asked if I could have it. It's really a worthless hunk of metal, but it has sentimental value to me. And it's a quad processor machine which none of my friends own.

Nice of your work. When my work retires something its straight to the attic, never to be seen again. They don't even throw the stuff away, just sits up there and rots. They look at you with mean faces if you dare ask to take, or even buy it from them. Weird.

There is a DesignJet 600 up there I would love to have. Would work fine for me at home, but they could care less.

I've added a few more.

I wanna paint my room Innocence(sp?) Blue, a color availible on the RX-8, Mazda 6, Demio, Protege 5, and Miata, and the cieling silver metallic, availible on the RX-8, Mazda 6, Protege/Protege 5, Miata, nearly every Mazda. Only problem is, my walls are loaded with Mazda stuff that I'd have to take down and re-staple(I staple pages directly onto the wall, staples rock cause they are small and leave little holes instead of big ones. My mom doesn't feel the same though) back up. Also it would require me to move my bed(a bunk bed), my TV, my whole drawer setup, model car setup, it's a heck of a lot. Maybe someday I'll do it though.

Other than your parents not wanting you to paint your walls a non-standard color, I think you should do what it takes. That's a really good way to clean out your room and 'upgrade' your maturity level. You'll probably find that half or more of the stuff in your room is not as cool as you thought it was.

Well right now my walls are painted as hills and mountains, with the cieling a dark blue with glow in the dark stars and clouds. It's not bad, but I like the idea of having a light colored cieling, I think it'll help spread the light. Also, if I can get a silver metallic(the blue is also a metallic color), it'll sparkle and be pretty damn cool looking. I'd have to see if Sears or some other paint store could get the color exactly right. Otherwise I guess I could buy Mazda paint but it'll cost a fortune to paint a whole room. I could always paint the 323 with the leftover paint though. :)

My room is like 10'X8' I think. It's cosy, but a tad small. I do need to clean out my stuff. My closet is non-openable basically.
Also I'm gonna need more space to staple up the Mazda stuff I get from the Rev-It-Up event(next week!!!) and I still have a 2'X3' Miata showroom poster to hang.

It'll be such an upheavel to paint my room cause of the furnature and electronics. Sure it could be done, but I'm 99% sure that in the process something will go wrong or break.

I'm telling you man, it's like shedding a skin of "out-dated-style". Change everything and life will be much better.

As for the paint, you do realize there are LOTS of different kinds of paint. You can't really put shiny paint, especially car paint, on your walls. And I don't think you want shiny walls either - they don't end up quite like you might imagine.

hey, that freakin wall looks real good. but you know, Id love to see the photos that are hanging on the wall, rather than the wall itself. I also love photography, so, thats why.

as for the girl population in GTP, just how many girls are there in here? And, gawd Josh, nothings wrong with three girls, rite?? rotflmao!!!!

He could get some fiberglass panels fabricated to fit his walls. So his walls would just be giant sheets of fiberglass, then he could go and primer them, paint them, clearcoat a few times, etc. I bet you he's crazy enough to do something like that.:P Maybe now now, but when he's older, moves out, and has a place of his own.

Eventually when I get a new bedroom it will be a nice royal blue colour with a gold band around the top.

Or it would be a neurtral look with white/creams with modern contrasting colours with trendy plants and cool cubes shelves to store stuff in.

Yes, I will update my personal site with those photos eventually. Many people have asked (:

ALPHA - I dig the royal blue, but the gold might be weird. I like cube shelving but it breaks things up too much and doesn't give you room to really put a bunch of stuff. Keep in mind they will be display shelves, not storage shelves.

Well you can get glossy paint. I think that a metallic paint that's not glossy would look really odd. As for the car paint, I'd never do that! Too expensive. And the fiberglass? No good for staples. :)

Well, personally I like flat wall paint for walls. I had gloss paint (usually for baseboards and trim) on my walls in my bedroom and the faint shine from the walls was rather annoying. It casts a glare everywhere you look.

I have more pictures to add. I'll stick them up tonight and take another picture for you kids (:

Display shelves is really what I want so I can put some nice neutral object on them.

But I think I might have a feature wall in the royal blue and have the rest of it a neutral white/cream tone - Maybe I am undecided.

A simple low maintenance plant will add loads of contrast and depth.

The answer to storage is a huge cupboard like in cartoons overflowing with crap.

Get a bunk type bed that has the bed on the top, and nothing underneath. Not only is it pretty cool sleeping near the cieling, you get tons of space under it, for anything from a computer to just tons of storage.

But if you are big in stature, you might not want it, or want to have to climb the latter to go to bed.

It wouldn't have to be a full height bunk. I've been wanting to build a bed frame that has about three drawers high under it for clothing and 'stuff'. That way it can still be a double or queen sized bed.

My wall is at or near completion. I need to decide if I want to put more little ones around the edges.

Heh, I got a hubcap...sort of chromey, gonna hang it on my bedroom wall :D

Nice additions to the purple wall Loud...Will the wall eventually be full of pictures?

a hub cap is nothing. I got a B-series truck grill and Protege grill. And who could forget the 2 rotor housings and 1 rotor. Strangly, I don't have any hub caps...

I think the purple wall is done. I'll be moving on to other walls in the near future.

You have car parts hanging from your wall? See, that's what I'm talking about. When you take all that stuff down to paint your walls you'll realize you don't really need it hanging there. It's a car grill for goodness sake.

Damnit no! The B-series gill is hanging above my window, it's very nice looking cause it's brand new(some moron up at Fusz broke a mount while trying to put it on a costomers car, so I got it.), and I put a one of them square flashlights, the chrome part and the bulb, behind the Mazda emblem and hooked it up to a switch, and it's awsome. I had pics of it posted on GTP somewhere...

And the Protege grill was off of a newer Protege that the retard porter at Fusz ran into, a costomer's car. It's sitting on the bottom part of my cat-napper(gotta love cats) and it's not taking up any useable space. The 13B parts...the housings are holding up my old Presario monitor, and the rotor is sitting on Lincoln log pieces as a display, with a clock inside. Not taking up much space either. It's not like I'm gonna put a hood in my room...well...that's a posibility if it happens. ;)

If I could get my hands on a nice carbon fibre hood, I'd stick it to the ceiling. I bet that'd give a cool effect!

What I'd like to do would be to get the whole front fascia of a Mazda, and put it coming down from the cieling, but like into the cieling. Hook up the headlights to my lightswitch, and it would be awsome.
