I'm afraid that it's only water proof in fresh water - http://www.abc.net.au/technology/articles/2014/10/15/4107561.htm, http://support.sonymobile.com/global-en/xperiaz2/dm/water-and-dust-resistance/Phone has been acting up a bit today after a bit of time at the pool (speaker issues that are now sorted) but the screen isn't responsive for a few minutes now, should I do something or it's just evaporating water causing issues?
Edit: Oh man, now it's acting up alot more now 🤬 .

You can use your device:
- in dusty environments, for example, on a windy beach.
- when your fingers are wet.
- in some extreme weather conditions, for example, when it’s snowing or raining.
- in fresh (non-saline) water depths of 1.5 metres or less, for example, in a fresh water lake or river.
- in a chlorinated swimming pool.
Nope

This is what I meant, sorry....fresh (non-saline) water at depths of around 1.5 metres.
There have been complaints from people all over the internet apparently about this.So we asked Sony what the official word was regarding salt and chlorinated water versus fresh water in order to clarify the contradiction between marketing material and official ratings. We received the following response:
Should the phone be submerged in salt water it would need to be washed off in fresh water and if on warranty inspection it was evident that the seals had been damaged by salt/chlorine, warranty would be void.
This is what I meant, sorry.

Have you tried contacting Sony or your carrier yet? You can say that it was misleadingly advertised as being waterproof.Yeah I've seen that but they'll expect a mouthful if they'll throw me that line, it's in the user guide so it's official.

Edit: While I'm here, I might as well ask about a problem I'm experiencing. My phone had about 50% battery left at night and when I woke up it had dropped down to 20%. Android OS was the biggest battery drainer. There is a fix, but that's only for KitKat. Any solutions?
I'm running a modified stock rom (Sony based custom rom). I found a fix on XDA, it involved using the CyanogenMod Privacy Guard, which is a CM11 feature. The solution was disabling the 'keep awake' and 'wake' permissions of Google Play Services, but there doesn't seem to be a way to do that on 4.3 :/ The thing that annoys me is that seems to happen randomly. I might have to go back to a KitKat rom just to fix this. One of the reasons why I switched back to a Sony rom is to get better battery life, and it's actually worse with this wakelock.Yeah I'll send it to them, are you running stock android?
Could be your battery.
@TwinTurbo LM, if I were you, I'd give Wakelock Detector (XDA Review on YouTube) and Greenify (XDA Review on YouTube) a try. Let me know if you have any questions. 👍
@sems4arsenal, trying to get the moisture out of the phone is certainly the first thing I would've done, as well. It's important to not shake or move the phone aggressively or forcefully during this process, though. Are you sure all the flaps were closed completely when you took it with you into the pool?
