Ok i am in the professinal hall and was wondering what the best boxer car to get would be for that series. Not costing very much but still having enough power to win

Subaru 22B STi is the winner. don't even consider RUF's, they're losers..
Only if you can't manage throttle control weight transfer. If you have a handle on that, the Rufs are an absolute hoot to drive, powerful and responsive.

I ran the series in a semi-built Ruf 3400S (Boxster chassis) with race intake, chip, NA2 tuning, race brakes, and (I think) race suspension. It's a honey of a car and at the spec (74 A-spec points) it was not a hard series. I could probably have gotten away with NA1, maybe. I had 3.high" and 4.low" victories at Hong Kong and DF, and a whopping 16.mid" at Sears Point (Infineon).

if you havr a subaru rally car, those are a dream to drive with soft tires:drool:

or an RGT thats cool too:)

Ok i just bought the 2001 subaru impreza por drive style. Its good but doesnt takes turns worth crap any ideas how to fix that.thanks for helpin me out

RUFs they beat the sh"t out of cars. Imprezas, they handle and beat the sh"t out cars.
i think the Impreza wins :)

Brake earlier. Without anything more to go than "doesnt takes turns worth crap" that's about all I can tell you.

Impreza Addict, the swear filter is there for a reason. Don't go around it, please.

i won inthe cusco advan impreza JGTC and whupped up a couple of RUFs. The fun ones are where there is 5 RUFS and you in the impreza

my cant corener it is very sluggish and goes really wide and has horrible under steer and slows way down i jhave 400 hp in it idk what else to do

I can manage the weight transfer etc, but RUF's, especially the genuine RR's, aren't my cup of tea. they either understeer or spin. RUF 3400S is better, because it's MR. but, if I have to say which RUF is most difficult for me to drive, it's the 4wd one. I prefer Subarus because they're not such handful ( excluding 360 )

Brake earlier FTW.
👍
Repeat to yourself: Slow In = Fast Out (SIFO). The mantra of good drivers.

RUFs are some of the best cars in the game, if you're man enough to drive them :-)))

Seriously though, the 3400s doesn't even need any special driving techniques, and it will easily win that series. Then you'll get the best boxer in the game, the Yellowbird, as your trophy car.

Personally, I prefer the RR configured RUFs, but many people have a hard time with those, at least a first.

Ruf's are the best but if you can't control the weight to power ratio your toast. If you are more of an newbie go for Impreza WRX STI Spec C i have one and totally kicked butt. The car may under steer from time to time but once you are a expert driver (like me) u can control the under stter. or another way is to get the brake controller and move the brakes to the front to coreect under steer

Edit: to people that think Ruf's are MR that's no tru they are RR that's the reason why they kickass on acceleration. But because of the weight on the back axel the back tires can wear out amazingly quick if you just slam the throttle.

ya just about everyone's saying the spec C but i would actually say the 22B as long as u adjust the limited slip because it spins on the corners slightly, just tighten it a little bit

True, but I used a RGT. Great car to drive, and the undesteer didnt bother me much.

I enjoy entering this series with a bone stock BTR (no oil change or driver aids) with 50 to 100kg of ballast, depending the opposition. Keep restarting until you come up against a Yellowbird and or a CTR2 for best racing!

I hate the fact that you have to brake so early in RR's. It's not the best car to drift with as there's just too much grip. And heavy braking after the long straights can get the ass out and the nose into a wall..

Tell me if I'm completely wrong here, but doesn't increasing the front brake force increase understeer instead of reducing it?

What comes to the best boxer car, the RUFs are very fast but I think they can't be used to full advantage on tight tracks as the braking distances are very long thanks to the huge acceleration and the special cornering technique needed. The Imprezas understeer somewhat on throttle but are great in turn-in... it depends on what you like. If you've mastered the RR techniques, then go for a BTR or an RGT but if not, an Impreza will be a good choice that won't let you down.

i cant believe some of you. the RUF RGT is a dream to drive. i really do think you guys need to take it out for a spin around a few tracks to get familiar with it. its one of my top 5 road cars to drive.
