I wanted to know what are the best cars used for drifting since I am new to this. Also I would like to know a setup for a drifting car. I am a racer not a drifter so any advice would be helpful.
Thanks :)

The Buick Special seems to be popular but I've never seen a setup for it. People generally don't seem too keen to share their drifting setups.

I've used a BMW M3 Coupe for a bit of fun. I haven't done much in the way of drifting but that car seemed like a pretty good starter car without needing to worry about the setup.

I've found any rear wheel drive cars can be capable drifters - in my drift leaderboards I've had the Jay Leno Tank Car, Izuzu 4200R, Mercedes C63 AMG, Mazda RX8, a cruddy 1982 Mitsubishi Lancer, that Toyota Ute and even the Fiat 500. My current leader is the 62 Buick Special but my favourite car to drift by far is the Art Morrison Corvette.

If you are beginning I would recommend the Toyota AE86, Mercedes C63, or the Art Morrison all of which can be drifted without tuning, just buy a set of Comfort Hards and you're away.

Fast cars can get you into sharp angles by punching the gas harder... Chevy Camaro all the way!

Any the award for most useless link description goes to...

He was trying to help. There is a drift subforum where your question has been answered before. Besides most RWD cars can drift with a good setup and lots of power. Use manual transmission.

S13 is one hell of a drift car. The RX7's are well balanced also, but i like the lightweight and nimble S13... a very predictable car.

Also forgot to add are there any recommened tuning part needed for drifting but comfort tyres?? As you can see I know nothing about drifting. xD

i would recomend the s13, s14, s15, 300zx, the r32/r33 gtr are also good with comfort hards on and the torque distrubutor on 90 to the rear and 10 to the front ( its a shame how you cant make them fully rwd )

The stock IS F. Also the Amuse S2000 GT and turbo models. cant forget the D1 er34's from blitz. or the Toyota Aristo vertex edition. theres more.

There are plenty of good ones like RX-7, Silvias S13-S15, Chaser and AE86 for example.
But basically almost every rwd is good enough after lsd, suspension,
power & weight modifications, although they are not necessary but helpfull.

Remeber, practice makes perfect!

RX7 Spirit R, S13 Silvia K, Z32 300ZX, TVR Tamora, Honda S2000. My main drifters. All good ones with a little tweaking.

The classic japanese 80's and 90's cars, Silvias, Sileighty, RWD Skylines (RS-X, R30, GTS-R R31). They're lightweight and easy to drift. Drifting doesn't have to be a difficult task.

Btw TVR Cerbera Speed Six is an extraordinary drifter straight from the UCD, 350bhp and 1100kg in stock condition, if someone's interested in stock drifting.
