Hey Swift quit picking on me lol, it's ok I will keep my comments to my self,I'm to mature for that kind of petty stuff(although it never stopped my before:guilty: ).

I will not! It's too much fun. :sly:

I'm sure many members will understand this, because drifting with 733BHP isn't a skill at all, but one thing I hope you understand, is that it's not about posting pictures up as proof that this Aston martin can drift. But it's more or less proof that the Aston Martin will only drift with huge amounts of BHP, so it's not a good car at all for drifting...

I wouldn't say having that much hp "isn't a skill" As there are some drifters that use a good amount of HP but still have very skillful drifts. FBI comes to mind. But your point is well taken. Power does not a drift car make. There are MANY cars in GT4 that can drift stock or with just a few minor changes. If you can't drift one of those cars, then to be honest, you're not a real GT4 drifter.

Well sure, you can go to about 500BHP like Mike does but 733 is just way off:scared: I dont think Mike would like to drift a 733BHP monster. But thats another issue;)

That's where you're wrong... Mike drifts a lot of really high HP cars... In the GT3 days, team FBI were well known for drifting 1000hp monsters...

;)

Niels I don't quite get your statement that drifting a car with 733HP isn't skill.

Is your statement only about the Aston Martin? Or drifting in general?

ok niels just read your post fair enough you may think the vanquiash is bad but i think its amazing. i now drift two different cars but the one of the new cars is japenese( the subaru impreza) but the other car is not i use the holden monaro abit too and i must admit its good.:) :) :)

swift don't be such a bully the man obviously doesn't want to argue so let him get on with what ever he wants to do.

Sorry but I don't need your protection, you obviously don't realize Swift is joking around,
(I have had a previous problem with him when I first came to GTP,let's just say woman problems made me lash out at a member when I first joined(DFP related).Btw Swift I was wrong back then and I realize my mistake),since then however I have grown up and gotten my act together. Thanks for your concern but it is not needed.

Well said.

Swiftdrifter, don't forget about the edit button. Next to the search button, it's your best friend. :D

I like chicken soup................................ oh this isnt the random comments thread?

On topic- I will see if i can record a short vid tonight of me drifitng a fully tunes Aston. Might answer some questions

^^
indeed - it will prove beyond a doubt that it does not require skill to drift a high hp Aston :sly:

G'day Spec! :D:D

Dang you Spec,I know you were busting to say something too BL, anyway just wanted to clear up the air with that post.
I vote the Lotus Esprit V8 ('02) as best non japanese drift car, love that thing great for no countersteer drifts
.

Ok....about that skill thing, I kinda meant that with 733BHP every RWD car will drift, it doesn't prove if a car is good or not cause EVERY car will drift with that amount of BHP. Nothing more, dont take that as an offence or something. And that wasn't my point at all.

I just meant that you said the Aston Martin is your best drift car, but really it's not the car thats good, it's the mods you added to it.
The Aston Martin isn't a good drift car at all when you would get the power back to stock. It probably needed the 733BHP to drift, together with some suspension set ups.

The Aston is just not the original car anymore, so I dont think the Aston Martin could be called one of the best drift cars (see this topic again to remember what this thread was meant for).
Obviously I dont have proof that it has been tuned alot but I am guessing it is?
If it is then it's probably YOUR SETTINGS combined with the Vanquish that makes it a good drifter, but the car itsself is far from good IMO.

And if you still dont get my point then I wont bother to fill another whole page with it, clearing up what I mean. I think by now you really should be able to figure out what I was trying to point out, after this many posts.

Excellent, now i dont have to bother recording me attempting to drift the aston 👍

Haha, attempt  :P j/k

My personal best non-japanese drift car would be the BMW M3, drifts well with slight modifications.

The corvette stingray is really easy to drift too. Stick N2 on it and you're ready to go.

The M3 is great with no mods at all,no need to do settings with it for me.

By slight modification, I meant to put N2s and remove driving aids. It drifts well without modifying the suspension or the power 👍

I`m not sure if anyone mentioned it,but i think that yellow bird is stunning,i was lookink for an RR car with solid horse power, and i find the Ruf,i love to do e-brake drift with that car, just easy slides trough the corner:sly:

the Pontiac GTO 5.7 '04 by far... mine i have had since the game came out a year ago and it has over 700 hp and drifts easier than a 240sx (my opinion) i love it ( its red:sly: :dopey: )

i think M5 its a very good car for drifting has enough power(about 500 hp) hold big angles, can pull out long drifts and double apexes and its the car i won GTPDC9...it needs to know what you re doing with the throtle couse has alot of power but if you can manage to control it it can give you long big angle controlled drifts..my vote on M5...

just recently I have decided to tune a Pontiac, I cant remember what it's called but it has to be one of the best drift cars from America, against an M3 is seems almost effortless. You can even hold drifts that you would you would have otherwise lost in any other car.👍

if u want pics just ask!:)

Lexus SC430 with the right setup, its great and AMERICAN not japanese :)

Oringinally by cookie type r

best non Japanese drifter ive had is a dodge ram wiv a supercharger

Don't use the word 'Japanese' again, Japanese people can find it offensive.
It'd be good if you'd EDIT your post and change it to Japanese.

Thanks

It's Korean, so your perception of it being too close or not to Japanese cars is up to you... But the Protomotors Spirra has some of the best lift-off oversteer in a stock car.

Other honorable mentions:

Acura HSC Concept
1964 Pontiac GTO
Plymouth Superbird (Don't laugh!)
Shelby Cobra
Chevrolet Siverado SS
Chevrolet Camaro SS
Spyker C8 Laviolette
Holden Monaro
BMW M3
1969 Corvette Stingray

Lately, I've been wrestling both a '70 Charger and a Ford RS200 road machine. (The Charger sitting on N2's and with a FC Tranny; the RS200 stock without driving aids.)

Sorry about the long-arsed post, but to prove a point... ;)
