I absolutely love the Holden Monaro! That thing just slides like its no one's business. With no assists and Economy tires, it puts a smile on my face everytime I drift, or even think about it.

Holden Monaro CV8. Lots of power and stays nicely sideways. Very nice car to drift with and with some setting changes it's fast to race with too 👍

both MR2 '86's and pug 205 T16 road version, bone stock. they slide as long as you want them to, and no need for N-class tyres!

Every FR, MR, 4WD, are great, doesn't matter the make or model as long as it's one the these platforms it only needs someone to set it loose.:)

The one thing that I cant stand is FF cars. they are, in my book, useless.

No don't say that I personly don't like FF cars in this game or on the street but you cant say they are useless, because there are people who sware by FF,you have to realize not everybody's the same, but I don't care what anyone says YOU CAN'T DRIFT A FF CAR.:grumpy:

The Holden Monaro CV8 is fantastic for drifting, and easily controlled once it is sideways. I think it has got more oversteer than the Pontiac GTO (which is based on the Monaro) but it just needs a little more power.

70' charger in hemi orange!!!!!!! if you have seen dukes or hazard (the new one) you should look for my drift video on the 17th or 18th. Its already recorded Im just waiting for my new video card. Its on the new york track because of the round about, just like the movie.👍

Without a doubt!!

I started using this car about a week ago and I like it better than any other car I have set up. Like you said, this thing stays sideways. Engine stock or upgraded it has enough power to push you though turns well after your momentum has faded..👍 👍

Oh yeah, and it looks good doing it too!

personally i like the buick GNX, its ugly but it makes for a very stable drift piece
If you think the GNX is ugly, you have some serious issues, you Honda fAnBoI.

M3 GTR Road model, mine pumps out around 535bhp, and it goes like no ones buisness.

Holden VY Commodore SS :dopey:, It's my wingless V8 Supercar, 620bhp and R5's, it slides on its own! *and im a US Holden fan!!!*

Pontiac GTO, 550bhp, Solid as a rock.

Dodge Viper, 600bhp, Understeers alot, bu major fun.

Lotus Elise 111R, 310ish bhp, Very fun.

  • Pontiac Tempest Le Mans GTO '64: Bone stock with N2's
  • Chevrolet Corvette C1 Convertible: 373 BHP, N2's
  • Buick GNX: Bone stock, N2's
  • Lancia Stratos: Bone stock, N2's
  • Ford Mustang SVT Cobra-R: Bone stock, S2's
  • Lotus Esprit V8 SE: 375 BHP, N3's
:D

BWM M3 GTR is good non-japanese drift car.
Its good about 500-600 hp, N1-2 tires and maybe suspenssion, i think...

Other non-japanese drift cars:
Ford Mustang SVT Cobra
Chevrolet Corvette C5
RUF Yellowbird... awesome drift car, I like it :D

Technically it's a Toyota, but the Lexus GS300 '00 is an excellent car for drfiting, ever so easy to intiate drifts on any corner using feint, or just throw it into the corner for long sweepers, really easy to balance the countersteer and power to keep the car sideways.

A few cars take my fancy when it comes to drifting:
BMW M3 CSL
BMW M Coupe '98
Holden Monaro
McLaren F1 GTR 'Fina'
Mercedes 190E 2.5 Cosworth Road Car
Shelby 350GT Mustang

P.S AngleProvidence you can drift an FF car, you just have to bring the handbrake into play and be even more brutal with the cluth pedal. Cooper-S tuned to the max is possibly the easiest FF car to drift on GT4, give it a go on super-hard tyres around Midfield.

Uh, there's no clutch in GT4. So what do you mean?

I thought he was refering to real life. But when i want to try and trick the car in GT4, if you tap the handbrake it knocks the car out of gear momentarily.

Snip ................you can drift an FF car, you just have to bring the handbrake into play and be even more brutal with the cluth pedal......................But when i want to try and trick the car in GT4, if you tap the handbrake it knocks the car out of gear momentarily..................

Err how can you bring the handbrake into play and "tap" the clutch to fool the game? if you use the handbrake it cancels out the effect of "depressing" the clutch. In doing this to try and trick the game is pretty pointless to because the idea of depressing the clutch to get a "clutch kick" is so that the revs build up while cornering then letting the clutch out so that the wheels start to spin in effect causing a drift. Now there is another problem with this theory - it would only work on a FR/MR/4WD car. If you tried this in an FF, the car would just drag itself forwards wich isnt really what you want when trying to drift an FF car.

👎 Still no matter how I look at it, front engine front wheel drive will never drift im my eyes, don't get me wrong there is nothing bad about FF's they just shouldn't be sideways.:indiff:

Edit: Although I wish they would make some cool looking FF's into FR's (Mitsubishi FTO,Acura RSX just to name a few.)
