BMW 2002 Turbo!

Just got my first one yesterday and, MY GOD! Does this car even know the meaning of the word understeer? It'll just hang it's ass out all day long. :D

I tried to provoke understeer, but it was havin' none of it.

You don't need to provoke a drift though - just tip it into the corner and be ready with the counter steer. Measure the throttle input and it'll stay out there for as long as you want. Pull it back into line and then aim for the next corner entry...

I LOVE THIS CAR! :)

OMG, that car somehow reminds me of a........:irked::crazy::dunce:>DWARF! LOL:lol: I dunno why, I just got to say it:lol::lol:

Agreed... A much easier car to drift, than the GTO (American version...

I also love the M3, almost more than the CSL version...

Still, I can't say enough about the Ruf series of cars... They all drift a treat, especialy with a little balast up front to counteract the rear engine layout... The BTR, Yellow Bird, and RGT are just fantastic drift cars, in my opinion...

Drifting is ovsersteer.

If a car oversteers too much during a drift, it will spin, but drifting is oversteer.

Ok, now I know where you're at, DEFINE oversteer first before you make assumptions.

What do you guys reckon the best non-japanese drifting car is?

Personally, I could go for most large sedans, i.e Chrysler 300C or Jaguar S Type R.

Feels better without weight modifications, I think.

you want a lotus they drift great just let off the gas

I just got the Holden Monaro CV8, and with some power, that thing's a fracking beast! I also recently have come to enjoy drifting the 300C as well. So much body roll!

First off, use the edit button, so you don't have 3 posts in a row... Secondly... It's Porsche not Porch... Thirdly, Ruf is a manufacturer... If you called a Ruf a Porsche in front of any Ruf enthusiast, they would give you a look that could burn through bank vaults...

The tires just need to be matched to the HP... N tires are best between stock and 350hp (depending on the weight of the vehicle and the torque curve)... You must be running a huge amount of power to drift with Racing soft tires...

I've found a stock Camaro SS is pretty good with N1 tyres. You have to work hard to get it sideways, but once it's there it's solid as a rock. 👍

I like to drift in the Porches ...
You like to drift in peoples front yards?... That's a bit dangerous isn't it?

Sorry, couldn't help myself. :)

Does take a bit of skill to drift a RUF though - well, to drift it properly anyway.

Actually, I found them to be pretty easy cars to drift, in GT4... In GT3 they were tough to keep sideways, but in GT4 the RR's and MR's are much easier to drift well, in my opinion...

I took the Yellowbird out for some skids yesterday on N1s and it drifts nicely. You can hold high speed, low angle drifts for ages in it and it looks sweet. This car loves drifting on high speed ring.
