Six String
Teen Spirit? That's not really got much of one.

QOTSA-Song for the dead
Muse-Newborn
Chili Peppers-Under the Bridge

I just like the guitar at the begining, it reminds me of good old times :guilty:. Ohh and I forgot that one (under the bridge) it's genious!!

Ciao...

Nothing starts me up or pumps me up more than the opening for AC/DC's "Thunderstruck," except one.

Guns N' Roses-Welcome To the Jungle. FULLSTOP.

Cheers,
Matt.

Delete post please.
Sorry for double-post, I hit the 'Post Quick reply' twice.

Cheers,

One of These Days-Pink Floyd.

Almost the whole song is an 'intro,' but the song rocks.

Cheers,
Matt.

What is your favorite song intro(s) ?

For me, I have various on my mind but in the end this is my favorite ever:

Your turn.

So many to choose from. Cochise by Audioslave has to be up there with that awesome guitar riff, and definitely Baby Got Back by Sir Mix Alot ;). Wasting Time by Dave Matthews is epic as well.

I think that overall Metallica have some of the best intros out there, but here are some of my other favourite intros.

Helloween - Mankind

Magnum - Midnight (Remix)

The Cure - Fascination Street (Extended Mix) - 4 minutes of instrumental greatness

A couple to add...

Can't Let You Go by Rainbow (Awesome keyboard intro)

Victim of Changes by Judas Priest (Unleashed in the East - Live version)

The Hellion\Electric Eye, Bloodstone & The Sentinel by Judas Priest

Unchained by Van Halen

Just One Fix by Ministry

Vote with a Bullet by Corrosion of Conformity

Have a good one

Soundgarden- The Day I Tried To Live
The intro sounds sad. It is not one of the best songs on here, but I like it IMO.

I like the into to Boston's Walk On Medley - the full song is almost 15 minutes long, but here's the first two parts. The intro itself (Walkin' At Night) is 2 minutes long.

GUITAR. POWER.
