Actually it’s because it can accept the Stage 4 Super Turbo. More info here in a older GTP thread...

Ohh, intriguing.

I tried to fit that on some of my cars but to no avail. Seems it only fits a handful number of cars and mine isn't included.

Cool... Glad that helped. In reality though as far as “premium” type rally cars are concerned the maxed out Lancia is still my favorite and the most fun although not as quick...
