As you have probably guessed, I'm picking a car for the IA wet racing event.
I won the first race (Spa) on the Viper ACR, did it from the first attempt, but that made me sweat. :ill:
Of course I don't mean I won't be able to win the rest on my ACR, but I want to know, what do you think is the best rear-wheel drive road supercar for rain racing, both stable and fast on the wet surface? You're also welcome to share your tunes!
The info from this thread will be useful for online racing as well.

The polled cars are the preferred (premium, under 500,000 credits, except for the Huayra, which can be obtained from an Anniversary pack), one model per maker.

EDIT: can any Mod please edit the poll and add the "other" option?
I forgot to include it :ouch:

MP4 is a beast I won easily with no mods just sports soft tyres, very predictible in the wet. These events were probably the most fun I've had in A-spec thus far.

I ran with the Rocket on the Spa and F430 Scuderia at Le Mans and Nordschleife. The F430 was free from doing the IA Mission races.

I did the Le Mans with just a rear wing and added a LSD for the Ring. Tune to Preload 10, Accel 12, Decel 30. Race Intermediate tire and 4/2 on brake balance with TCS on.

MP4-12C. Added wing, set to 100 downforce. I tuned the balance to be 50:50 (added 120-something kg and moved it back) and reduced weight as much as I could elsewhere. Tuned LSD to 10/15/20. I beefed it up with all upgrades available to 642PP - turbo and all for the fun of it - and set the Max Speed 340 km/h for the last two events (could have used 360km/h on Nurgring tho). Nurbring was quite tricky, because it was so freaking hard to see anything. I used traction control to calm the turbo a little.

Suspension was untouched.

Used Sports Soft tyres. Much better grip than racing tyres etc.

It was a good and easy drive, and handled quite well. A bit unstable when breaking in high speed, but mostly on the first breaking - release breaks and then break again and it stabilized.

I used the Ford GT with Praiano's tune but at 630pp and rain tires. Won every event easily. I won Nürburgring by nearly a minute.

You were allowed to use rain tyres in Rainmasters event? Game denied me from using them (I only tested with intermediate though). Won anyway, but had to put in quite an effort to stay on the road at times :P

It denies you when you enter, but you still can put them on in the car settings, lol.

DOH! lol. Oh well, learned something new today, not all bad. And the satisfaction that it wasnt really that hard to do even with "wrong" tyres. Other cars were more dififcult, but a balanced MP4 did a pretty good job I must say.

Yeah, it's just a glitch. You're allowed to use any tire in that series, but like Rage Racer said, equip them at the race menu. Just a duh moment from PD.
