'What's the best sound you've heard so far?'
U2 - Sunday Bloody Sunday, man, very good song !!!

Oh, sorry, you're talking abuot GT5.... Ford GT40

TVR Speed 12 and the McLaren F1 Race Car '97 are the two best sounds in my garage. I just got into the McLaren to hear the startup, have no real intentions of driving it at the moment. :dopey:

It has to be the 787B, the thing goes completely beserk in the last 750 RPM of the rev range:crazy: and start up and idle are ridiculously close to the real thing.

I also like the Alfa 8C and the Zonda R.

The RM'd Speed Six has a satisfying growl, so does the Peugeot 908.

But i have to say shame on PD for getting the 905 and C9 completely wrong!

I do really like the sound of my built Supra RZ the external wastegate just screams at WOT.

and my 99' Viper just rips and the supercharger is easily heard.

Lots of cars sound good, the key is don't be stuck with your tv speakers.
At least get the logitech z506 surround sound system. Great cheap 5.1 system that is very very easy to setup and you get amazing sound.
Price is roughly $60 US or $99 NZD

Sounds of the game will truly come to life once you have invested in surround sound.
You can hear the exhaust behind you and the tranny and engine in front , it is amazing.

sk0pe - assume that if I use the AV cable for this, I can still HDMI out to my screen direct from the PS3?

My fav:

BMW M5 - real life quality
Lamborgini Gallardo - has this lambo thing in it's voice
BMW Series 1 Tii Concept with sport mufler
Corvette Z06 (C5 and C6)
mclaren f1 - BMW power :)

The Lexus LF-A is definitely one of or even quite possible THE best sounding.

The McLaren F1 sounds great

The Amuse S2000 GT1 Turbo sounds great

blue devil
1969 Ford GT40 when revving at 3500 rpm= Best sound EVER

Oh hell yeah...my sub was growling when I did this and it was immense to a point where the mrs came and turned the volume down lol :)

I've yet to try the C-West Razo Silvia, but RUF CTR Yellow Bird's sound is damn sweet for sure. Really fun to drive too, although one of the toughest cars to handle in stock condition.

The C-West Silvia sounds awfull (atleast to me).
The Stock Trial Celica sounds pretty sweet. And the Stock Saleen S7/Callaway C12 are my favourite at the moment (the C12 standing and 3rd person view....:D)

Race modded Dodge Challenger R/T '70 sounds great. Also some ultra fast race cars like Toyota Minolta 88C-V sound awesome.
