Best sounding car

the first and the third video are ok, but the 2nd one makes no sense. Its from Forza and it features 2 cars, wich makes it hard to distinguish the sounds from another.

If you haven't heard the mark IV you owe it to yourself to give it a whirl. The spitting and chortling at low RPMs followed by the angry growl at high RPMs is just amazing. It's the most lifelike sound I've heard in GT5.

Someone said they use an engine sound as a ringtone. How Did they get it off the disk? I'd love to do this with some of the noises

I would guess only around 20% of the cars in GT5 are actually recorded. The rest use generic samples modified to suite.

I would like to see the GT series go back to around 500 cars. A careful, hand picked selection. Then these are absolutely faithful to their real-life counterparts in sound as well as physical appearance. Anybody remember PGR4? Pitch-perfect sound on every single car. Completely and totally accurate sound. Playing it makes GT5 sound absolutely awful.

Give that Enzo a listen. Even more spectacular with a good sound system.

If only the AE86 could sound like this, instead of a vacuum cleaner, that'd be what I'd choose.

But with what we have, I think the 458 Italia is my favorite.

This has always been my biggest gripe with the entire GT series, basically every car sounds like crap and some cars even sound identical to others..

What are you on about? Most every car I've driven in GT5 has had a distinctive note. Is your audio setting on Small/Large Theater? If it isn't, it should be.

Definatly has to be good ol' Americana muscle! Best example of that is the '63 Corvette C2 with anything on it. Doesn't matter if it's stock or fully tuned best sounding car in the game!

Mazda 787B, Lexus LFA . . .among others.

One must remember though, that input is only as good as output. The cars of course sound different when piped through my JBL Aliens as compared to my Bose or B & O set-ups.

I guess if I was listening through my standard Sony TV speakers they don't really compare. I don't, because I know they wouldn't.

I DO listen on my earphones, at times. Again . . . a different sensation altogether.

I wouldn't say its the best sounding car, but has anyone else noticed that the Jaguar XJ13 '66 sounds like an angry Dalek?

Till now I always thought that the 458 italia was one of the best sounding cars in the game (With stock exhaust, race exhaust makes it sound like a vacuum cleaner). It really sounds good but after seeing this video, I doubt that it is very accurate (BTW: doesn`t the 430 Scuderia sound the same as the 458 in GT5?)

Some cars in GT5 sound real, but thats only SOME out of 1000 cars.. Many other racer games have better sound! Comon PD, GT5 has nice super duper HD graphics and yet they sound as good as PS1 era game? Booo...
