I like the Skyline R34 but on the sarthe II endurance in b-spec I kept changing cars for the noises and made something close to the top gear theme tune.

Cheers

Hey, Australia! Want me to put you on the map? Well, my choice would be the FPV (Ford (of Australia) Performance Vehicles) GT. I consider most modern Australian cars (the ones that I know anyways) as being sharply-styled and modest cars... all until you floor the gas and hear the sweetest music one can hear- the roar of an Australian V6 or V8. The FPV GT makes very nice noise. I just wished I could start more races with the FPV GT. But it's been in my virtual garage collecting dust and glair.

I didn't really think this one through, but my answer would be the FPV GT. If I think of anything else, I'll report here ASAP with a new pick.

Shelby 427 cobra (NOT AC) (intoxicating)
Shelby GT350
Ford GT40 race car (The original) (Even more intoxicating)
Chevrolet Comaro Z/28 (SS has an annoying vacuum whine)
Sil Eighty/'91 Silvia 2000cc/'96 240SX hatchback
Toyota Sprinter Trueno (Yeah, I'm crazy)
RUF RGT
RUF CTR-2
Corvette (C1, C2, C3)

I like the Loctite NSX. Love that little harmonic vibrating sound it gives when you are off the gas through a corner, then whind it up again. The Takata NSX on the other hand sounds like crap. Pretty sure this was because the older NSX's in JGTC were turbo, while the Takata was one of the first Naturaly Aspirited ones.

cmmon guys what about the hommel berlinna rs ( if thats how its spelt ) it has a sweet engine tune, especialy when ur droping gears and sliding it round a corner, ( yes it slides stock well apart from s2 road tires lol )

There is just one little problem with your choice of cars.
I believe they are modified, and this thread is polling the best sounds of unmodified cars.
I still like the Zonda but I heard the Mercedes SLR Mclaren and I loved it.
Correct me if I can't say those ones.

youve got good taste my friend 👍

I'll have to agree with you on the GT40, nice rumbling sound, especially when going through tunnels on full throttle.
My favourite is probably the Caterham though, nice lightweight chassis with a screaming engine, it's just a shame you can only practice in it though??

Mitsubishi FTO GP Version R '97. The sound was just... Same sound came from the FTO GR '94 in GT2 as well :D

Mazda 787B sounds wonderful. You gotta love that rotary whine. It also sounds just as lovely on the RX7 LM (in GT3, not sure in GT4, probably the same).

And the Chevelle sounds pretty cool. Kind of like a diesel engine, but chugging gas. At an alarming rate.

No much to think..

2 guys on this
....
Spoon S2k.. Revs redline at 13.000 (guess it cut on 11.000rpm)
DTM Alfa 155... Revs redline at 16.000 (guess it cut on 13.000rpm)
