Hmm, interesting...

Stock the AC Cobra 427 (even though this had a new engine courtesy of Carol Shelby)

Non-Stock - No conest the 1969 Ford GT40

I have wired the optical cable through my Denon 3105 Reciever and Naim Power Amps, Ruark Speakers, ooohhh the joy!!! A GT40 pulling through it's torque range in 2nd gear, well it's quite a moment.

I don't know wth the poll is for but I'm definitely gonna have to say the stock SRT/10 sounds so much more kick ass vs modified.

The BMW M5 sounds cery accurate, a bit like a Formula 1 car, and the S2000's raspy note is appealing.

As for the American stuff, I like the Shelby Cobra 427's noise. In GT3, it was horrible, but now, I'm happy with it. It sounds just like you'd expect a Cobra to sound like.

Also, the AE86 has that sort of sound you wouldn't get for such a car if it was built today.

I gotta tell yah, I'm a sucker for V8's. I love the sound an LS2 makes in real life. Unfortunately (it would appear as if) GT4 failed when it came to making the big Chevy 8's sound real. What pissses me off most is the C5-R sounds like a lil four-banger. What is up with that? Is there anyway I can make it rumble more like a V8? Also, I've noticed with most V8s is when you put on the full racing exhaust you loose the rumble, can I change that? Any help with that would be greatly appreciated. P.S. those Honda motors do sound nice at high RPM. I know exactly what you mean.

I know I said something else before, but I hadn´t driven this yet at that time. The Ford GT40 racecar ´69! WoW!! What a vicious sound! Shreds your skin off, and vibrates your bones to dust at the same time! Just had to mention that!
Otherwise, non-tuned, the Jaguar XJ220 sound very cool, and actually, I liked the sound of the Model T Ford!

Papa_smurf - Maybe not my personal choice with the enormous engine and that.

DavidRoy90 - Yes to those honda sounds. And note that the name of the thread is '...on GT4'. This means that if the car sound is different to that in real it would cancel out

srjr - Nice choice. V8's are a big fan with the sounds

And finally red70mach1. - Big up to the Ford GT!

Team666 - I know what you mean about that Ford!

hey everyone im new to this site but im on gran turismo 4 constantly making my own cars that have not lots of power, but grip and handling that is outstanding. You have to admit that the subaru impreza version iv or vi sounds nice at low revs with that boxer engine. mmmm...
