Two PSPs is better. Easier on the thumbs. "Prime" an ad-hoc party race past a 3x jackpot with short races, then start a long one before you go to sleep, and sometimes you can wake up to about Cr4,000,000 earned.

^ I don't like doing that, I'm always scared it'll burn into my screen, because the screen has to be on all night long.
And I find there's never anyone on ad-hoc party.

Hold the 'note' button for a second an you'll turn the screen off, but the game will still be running (hitting a button will bring the screen back on again).

But you can't drive if you do that, and you have to drive to win the race. :P
When I turn my screen off, and button I was holding becomes inactive, and I can't press it again or it turns back on.

And it's not the note button, it's the screen button next to it.

I think the OP was commenting about setting a race up and going to bed (he would put the cars into 'autopilot')... in that case, you wouldn't need to control anything.

My bad! I should know better!

:dunce:

lol

Wow. Why on earth would they do that?
Do you get a reward whether you win or not? Because otherwise you wouldn't always be getting paid would you.

Sorry, it was called B-Spec in GT4.

You get the same amount of money as if you actually drove, but your driver's AI is determined by how well you've actually raced in the game (the manual describes this).

The screen blanking tip was a great help, thanks.

Got rid of that dull glow from under the chair where I stash my pair of PSPs when they're racing each other.

But yesterday, for the first time, I got races terminated by communication breakdown. I think perhaps the problem was the PSPs were too close together? I'd taken to putting the second into the open lid of a Sony hard case containing the first. That worked alright the other day, but last night I got a couple of races terminated while they were like that. The first one was my first screen-blank experiment, but eventually I had one terminate while both screens were on. An overnight race with both screens blank did run to completion, but I kept the PSPs a little bit further apart from each other.

It's possible that one of the WLAN switches was jostled when placing them in the hard cases - that happened to my son's PSP (before he lost it!) when we were doing multiplayer races.

hey guys i just got this game and have found that if you have the shelby gt350 you can get up to 25,000 per lap at grand canyon. you have need to up the horse power all of the way and take the weight down to 95%. i did 16 laps which got me a little over 400,000 which is 800,000.

Edit:

If you dont like Drifting you can also unlock both Le Mans racetrack and the Nurb to S and do 2 laps there, will give you plenty enough credit too. Beside I love both those tracks so yeah. 2 laps at Le Mans gives you 150'000 credit and with a good car you're done in 7-8 minutes.

how do you unlock the le mans

Edit again:

My best so far on Chamonix with any car is the Ruf CTR Yellowbird. 31,966 points on one lap for 63,932 after cashing out.

Behind that is the Lancia Stratos for 30,502 points.

Behind that the Lotus Carlton (:D) for 26,056 points.

my best there is 28,113 with the camaro ss '00

I'm not sure if this was already said already judging by the amount of pages but heres my way:

S rank
Test course
2 laps
Car: bugatti veyron

Easy 150,000 grand already (i could be stating the obvious because there might be someone who said this already.)

My quick-cash trick is to purchase the Nissan Option Stream Z and race it against AI on the Test Course (Driving Park). Can't remember if it's the same for the lower ranked races, but a single lap win (< 2 min) in Rank S will give you 77500 credits versus 150000 credits for a 2 or 3 lap win...

what is it with that car i bought because it seemed like it would be a good drifting option but it takes so long to accelerate in first gear

just wonderin

i gained a good amount of credits the other day after about 15laps of drifting on Motorland in a RUF, got about 300000. Good amount of credits, good fun, awesome replay!!
Getting gold on the driver challenges is good aswell. Working my way through some of them last night and got up to 2.7mil credits! took some time though:grumpy: so not good if times a problem.

Say you hve a psp, gran turismo psp, and a friend with a psp but oh no, they forgot to get gt psp like you nagged on them about. In the optins/settings or something, in the last section there is a little button alowing you to put all of the gt game onto your psp system, as if you bought it from ps store. lend them your game and let them download it to their psp trade the a pretty little car and race like samchen0079 tells you to do hope this works 4 ya tell me how it goes and add me as a friend on psn ID sixflages48

I think the installed game might be locked to your PSP like the gamesave is. If you install the game from the disc, you have to have the disc inserted to start the game (unless you have CFW). I don't know how they lock it if you do download from the PSN store, but I am sure they do. Just buy your friend the game as a Valentine present or something.

They don't lock it. I bought the download version and installed it on both my PSPs with no problem.
It is locked to your PSN account. Your friend would have to link his PSP to your PSN account to make this work. That is fine and all, but then he can't use his own account to buy anything and anything he bought from the PSN on his account won't work. If he switches his PSP back to his PSN account then your copy of GT won't work on his PSP.

It is locked, but not in a way that completely prevents piracy. It just makes piracy a pain in the butt.

Not if the PSP is hacked, which probably applies to more than 50% of people on here who own a PSP.
hacked = pain in the butt.

And I wonder why hardware manufacturers try so hard to stop homebrew.

Bugatti Veyron
2 laps of test track on S gets you 150,000 Cr

plus if you give them a small head start at the start of the race it's a good place to test out top speeds with slipstream get a veyron up to 250+ MPH before you go past the pack and they won't be catching up anytime soon.

I HAVE TWO EFFICIENT WAYS TO MAKE MONEY.

Way #1:
Download the car pack and use the Bugatti Veyron. Enter the Fuji speedway 90's edition (yes this matters). Race like you would normally but when you approach the last chicane turn don't brake. Instead drive on the grass to your right and there will be a wall to your left, dodge that wall and drive across the grass to make up at least 5 seconds (yes this is a shortcut). Keep repeating until S difficulty is unlocked and put race for 5 laps, the prize is 150,000.

Way #2 (preferred):

Bugatti Veyron
2 laps of test track on S gets you 150,000 Cr

plus if you give them a small head start at the start of the race it's a good place to test out top speeds with slipstream get a veyron up to 250+ MPH before you go past the pack and they won't be catching up anytime soon.

i heard of this and i love the fact that its easy money, but it pissed me of if you do 4 laps instead of 2, it doesn't double your amount of prize money.

Look at my thread and figure it out! I'm serious, though, one week and nobody has bothered to read it. It shows you how to get free cars and Credits in GTPSP.

I've eclipsed 32,xxx points on Chamonix using the Ruf CTR Yellowbird. That rear engine and excessive power work together to constantly hang the tail out.

I also got 20,090 points on the Ice Arena using the Yellowbird. I just cannot get much more than that out of the track. That lap was just tail-out from start to finish.

Since I have seen many people like you suggesting this method, I'll try it out, and will give you results sometime later. By the way, the Enzo really pwns!! :dopey:

And indeed, there is. Here's the way:

The main trick: Configure your controls so that "Right-Shoulder Button" is also Acceleration. Once you've done that, the next thing to do is wrap a rubber band around so that the "R button" is kept pressed all the time while racing. If you have a car fast enough, then you can leave it running around the test course B-Spec style.

How to do: Grind until you have at least 4Million. We need this amount to purchase a supercharged car, any lesser car will not do the trick. Disable Autosave. Race a bit more and regularly check the Dealers to find cars that costs 3.5M or 4M credits. BEFORE YOU BUY, SAVE FIRST. This way if you don't like the car you bought, or if isn't fast enough, then you can always press Home, bail out, and restart the game. So anyway, I tested several very nice race cars (those that costs 1M, 2M, 3.5M) and raced at Test Course to see if they were fast. If your car is too fast, you'd end up racing with F1 cars and that isn't good, since you'd just lose.

I found one car that will do this trick: PESCAROLO C60 HYBRIDE RACE CAR '05
Pescarolo-Courage-C60-Hybrid-Judd_5.jpg

There might also be any other car that will perform good which I haven't tested yet, but for the sake of this thread, let's stick to my chosen car. Anyway, if you have this car, race at S Rank for 99 laps (Test Course). It will reward you a whopping 1,071,000 cash in 3hours and 5 minutes of racing. The car was so good that it was ahead of the other 3 Escudos for more than a lap.

Car's Behavior: It will run reaching a maximum speed of around 378km/h and just slows down at every cornering (305km/h) because of the drag. But there's nothing to worry about. I raced againts Suzuki Escudo and they were slow like turtles compared to my machine.

Go watch TV, do your school homework or household chores. After 3 hours, smile at your 1 Million cash. ENJOY!

I'm bumping an old post here, but this is truly the best way of grinding if you only have 1 PSP, cannot connect to AdHoc Party and you don't want to do 2 laps with the Veyron yourself. I got fed up grinding myself in my quest to get all colours, so I just did the above and voila! In 3 days I got 'em all (grinding around 16 hours per day non-stop). The only modifications I made is instead of doing 99 laps, I changed it to 2 laps. The time:money ratio is better this way. Just keep the PSP by your side and every 4 minutes or so check the screen and re-enter the race as much as you like :). Each race takes a bit longer than if you used the Veyron (by ~40 seconds), but winning is guaranteed (since the Escudo's top speed is limited to under the Pescarolo's minimum speed on the turns) and you get exactly the same times every time (more consistent).
