Best way to make money

I'm bumping an old post here, but this is truly the best way of grinding if you only have 1 PSP, cannot connect to AdHoc Party and you don't want to do 2 laps with the Veyron yourself. I got fed up grinding myself in my quest to get all colours, so I just did the above and voila! In 3 days I got 'em all (grinding around 16 hours per day non-stop). The only modifications I made is instead of doing 99 laps, I changed it to 2 laps. The time:money ratio is better this way. Just keep the PSP by your side and every 4 minutes or so check the screen and re-enter the race as much as you like :). Each race takes a bit longer than if you used the Veyron (by ~40 seconds), but winning is guaranteed (since the Escudo's top speed is limited to under the Pescarolo's minimum speed on the turns) and you get exactly the same times every time (more consistent).

Yep! That's how i bought my F1 2007 Ferrari. :)

hi guys, on the subject of money, ive cheated and used the action replay cheat system, i cant find any reference to it on here, only got it today, and now have 99,000,000 credits..woo hoo, anyone else tried it or used it?.....

Cool...I wonder why it's not 99,999,999 since both takes up the same (screen) space anyway.

BTW, even with that amount of money you still won't be able to buy all 830 cars ;)

Yup, 830 cars in total, and you need 246,757,820 credits to get 'em all. To get all cars in all colour variations (4442) you'll need a whopping 643,573,380 credits

Test Course 2 laps S rank with Bugatti Veyron-150,000 Cr. in ~3-4 minutes.

Works every time!

If you dont like Drifting you can also unlock both Le Mans racetrack and the Nurb to S and do 2 laps there, will give you plenty enough credit too. Beside I love both those tracks so yeah. 2 laps at Le Mans gives you 150'000 credit and with a good car you're done in 7-8 minutes.

Aha!! I know another way. 2 laps on Test course oval (the big one) Bugatti Veyron (Get it at the PSN Store free) and in record time of 3 and a half minutes you have cr150,000. It's easy to drive on and don't make your opponents the same manufacture. I got 2 million credits last night. And it must be at S class which won't be too hard.

Or race on ad hoc and get a jackpot race. A few nights ago, I was on ad hoc party with some other GTP users, doing 5 lap races, and we got the jackpot up to 10x. If you get the jackpot, you could get up to about 2 million per race!!! If you don't, you can stil get up to around 1 million!!

The Pescarolo method doesn't work for me, I'm always racing against a Gillet Vertigo and 2 CLK GTRs. The Vertigo is no problem, but the CLKs are way to fast.

EDIT: After some trying I found a way that works. Put on N1 tires, ASM and active steering on. TCS to 5.
Now the opponents are slow enough to win even when grinding the walls in the corners and the car doesn't spin out when bumping into the wall after the straights.

For me i used the 'b spec mode' trick. In case you dont know, its when you change driving settings so that the r button is accelerate, then you tie a rubberband so it would stick down. So i did this with a le mans racer (Nissan R92CP), n1 tires and two laps round the test course (the oval one). Check every 4 minutes and doing this for an hour will give you 2.2mil credits. Note, the R92 doesnt race in le mans, but it has the same pace.

With regards to the rubber band trick on Test Course (Difficulty S, 2 laps) the Veyron consistently spins out. How can I remedy this?

Sorry guys but i forgot to post the alternative method. The veyron will be faster than other cars, but when left alone, it will hit the wall hard, causing a skid and spin from the rebound. So use 'stiffer' cars such as the nissan r92cp or the jaguar xj9. These cars will not go as fast, but it will react less to the hits. Sometimes, but rarely, the car will hit the wall at a certain angle and it will make it spin out. If this happens, exit the race day and find different opposition. Other notes, do not use cars with big wheelarches (such as the toyota gt1 or the audi r8 le mans) since they do not balance well when it hits the wall, causing it to spin. Also n1 tires and any tcs 5 or higher will be essential. Expect 3'50'XXX in 2 laps constanly. 20 seconds slower than the veyron, but at least you wont spin out. Hope that helps.

The pescarolo mentioned early works really well, is hasn't spun out on me once with the settings I posted. Sometimes it isn't fast enough to get first place, then you have to restart the race until you get opponents that are slow enough.

The problem with the perscarlo is that it is slower round the corners when it is 'grinding' it. It will only do 190mph or so, but late 80's le mans cars will be faster round the corners, and they also only have 5 gears, so they negotiate well with n1 tyres, although the car will wheelspin until 5th gear. The 6 and 7 gear cars will spin until 6th gear.

I find the best way to make money is via the ad-hoc racing. Either get a friend with a psp and GT or if you have two psp's this can also work. Go to test track select the Veyron and set to autodrive. Makes both psp an easy $90-$150k and if you lucky enough to get the jackpot multiplier up to it's max of 10 you make up to $2.4mil. In a matter of a few minutes then working together you can get all the cars quick smart.
Also this works while you sleep just set the race to like 99 laps of the ring and that's an easy mil for both

True, but what if you don't have two PSPs? I kinda wish PD had also enabled autopilot for single player. But anyway, I'm done with car collecting so I really can't complain...
