Big News: Indy Racing League cars & tracks in GT5

This is great news!!! Weather and night nacing is going to make it so much better and exciting. Now, we only need day/night cycles and Porsche and we're good to go.

I wonder if Sony will release a pack that includes a special edition of the game and a PS Eye? At additional cost obviously.

EDIT: perhaps a special "GT edition PS Eye" painted in red and blue with a big "5" on top of it

I was thinking the same. I need it sooo baaad.

Millions of PSeye will be sold :D

We have had one since they first came out and have used it regularly for all sorts of things like video conferencing, group microphone, not to mention games, including some that require no controller at all, allowing you to just use your body motion, placing you into the game, like Operation Creature Feature and Trials of Topaq, both of which are great party games as well.

I started a thread specifically as a resource for PS Eye users over two years ago that may come in handy for those now interested in getting one.

For around $40 it was a great bargain two years ago and still is today. In fact, nearly a year ago Walmart had them on sale for just $20. 👍

Night racing. Weather. Suddenly I can see myself on the Mulsanne straight in the middle of the night, rain pounding off the windscreen, with only my headlights lighting up the road ahead of me.

This is going to be an incredible game. 👍

There is still so much we don't know. I guess we'll find out in due time.

Until then, all bets are off.
You're right, in a way, there's a chance Porsche will be in. But considering a prominent employee of Porsche confrimed that they won't be in and why they couldn't be in at this point in time, I wouldn't place any expectation on the being there.

There was 1600 people viewing this thread alone earlier today! Amazing. Great work on this site Jordan!

Wow, and the world (well, the site I mean) didn't come to an end:eek: Of course when an announcement regarding Porsche being in the game(assuming they are) comes out, Watch that number Quadruple. I'm just hoping we don't get negative nutjobs that seem to love screwing around with the good news we have like the last few times.

I wanna see a lightning strike my opponent's car :D

still the biggest question is when is EU and NA release and is it true that it will be a late Nov 2010 release for NA and EU will be much later as gamestop mentioned.

Fixed that for ya.

Sorry man, I couldn't help myself.

You are very funny, and witty, OR you totaslly missed it. Either way, I laughed when I read the response I quoted.

Well I got it, I laughed rather a lot. :sly:

I assume he got it, hence the ;) smile.

I wonder if it is dynamic or just wet track as before, they said "weather effects."

I still hope they include at least an "active sky" with clouds moving, sunlight variations, shadows moving in accordance to the sun position (Time of day)

And if there was a "rain probability" I would be happy also.

Think of Tire-choice before race... and pit stops for changing to wet-conditions...

Fantastic news. I don't we can complain if we don't get variable weather or day night cycles. Its the fact that every track that has one of each that makes me happy.
