At the end of it all: Pistorius gets a six-year sentence for murder.

His lawyers are not appealing and he has been taken directly to jail, without passing Go.

Many are angry as this is below the minimum term for murder in South Africa. The Judge says that mitigating circumstances including rehabilitation and remose led her to deliver a 6 year sentence instead of the expected 15 year.

He will be eligible for parole after serving half of his sentence.

The joke at the time of his first sentencing was that he should be careful in the showers... because Oscar Pistorius might shoot him through the door. Something like that anyway

So off to the clink he goes I think he is guilty as guilty can be and has got off light.
With all the evidence he didn't have a leg to stand on!

I wonder if he is shoed in for a cushy hospital number as the blades won't be allowed in the nick.
And you can guarantee he will lose his prosthetic legs and claim he isn't safe in general population.
They should find his legs ok though just look for the inmate doing Jake the Peg impressions.

My cousin is a guard at the prison where Harris is and when I saw my cousin at a wedding not long back he said according to the press he has gone to a cushy jail and living a cushy life, Not the case apparently he is not liking prison life.
Can't do the time don't commit the crime.

I didn't even know he was locked up until my sister told me about it.
I live a very sheltered life.
