Interesting how much Bangle comes across in that top left shot - I actually think it's a mistake to go for a 'shock' design in a segment BMW's never entered before.

I think I have finally come to accept the Bangle school of design. Only one thing still bugs me, the crease along the back of all his cars. It definitely does not belong on the back of a wagon, and I think sedans and hatchbacks would look better if it was not so prominent, perhaps a little more Audi-like.

At least they don't have the glued on boot/trunk lid look of other recent BMW models, such as the 7-series and 6-series convertable.

It looks like the eye lids are pinned back so someone can shove contacts in them.
