BMW 3-Series (G20) / M3 (G80) / 4-Series / M4

The side profile is actually quite stunning. It is a shame about the grill though, from some angles it looks quite good, quite sinister and almost old fashioned, but from others it looks awful to say the least.

First official M3 Touring confirmed and teased, will arrive in 2022

I wonder how salvageable the front end is. Revenant Automotive came out with a redesigned face for the Vantage, they (or someone similar) could probably make a huge fortune coming up with an alternative, aftermarket facelift for this car.

Unreal... Just when you thought the grille couldn't be any more divisive, the GT3 debuts with this:

I'm more interested in whats under the hood of the GT3 than the ugly grille

The fact that the radar housing needs to be placed inside the grill so it's offset from the center just adds to the already awful design

The grill looks better than the road car version. I think having the horizontal panel on the grill helps.

It is still far from looking good though.

That sloped rear glass will take getting used to. In the flesh it looks like something other than a descendant of a 3-series 2-door.

I like the GT3 car. Can't wait to virtually drive one and see it racing.

Our dealership just got one on our build list. Sadly a boring white exterior on black interior, but I may consider asking them to change it to something more interesting. Curious about the Isle of Man Green. Ordering guides are open and here's a list of stuff. Guessing AWD is coming later in the model year.

Unreal... Just when you thought the grille couldn't be any more divisive, the GT3 debuts with this:

So the grill opening is such a gaping hole that they've turned what would have been the license plate bracket into an airfoil. I can't tell if that is brilliant or if that is a damning indictment of how bad the actually grill is.

Those rear arches are barely flared. Literally everything about the M3 and 4 is being messed up.

The sedan and touring are fine. The M4 roof is still alarming to me. So mashed down it is.

An Alpina touring would be my pick.

That exhaust setup looks wild!

I'm surprised so many variants are being tested early on. We've seen pics of the Coupe, Convertible, Saloon, Touring, CS and GTS before the first model has even been revealed.
