Not a great fan of the rear, but it's a hell of a lot better than the current M6 for sure. Still, I would pick the Audi RS5 over this, mostly because the Audi looks better.

Very pleasantly surprised. Don't really like the regular 6 series, but the more aggressive look does wonders. 👍

Update: I added more images in the original post.

I don't know but the back end seems to be growing on me a little. I have to see it in person.

Pwuuooooaah! That cheese smells. Sorry, it's it's general screwed up looks.

I prefered the previous M6. It looked great!

I still think I'd rather have the V10. I know this is supposed to be better, but theres nothing like saying "Yeah, I drive a V10 BMW".

So does it compete with the CL, CLS, RS5, and such?

The RS5 is the size of a M3.. This is much bigger. Audi doesn't have a large coupe to compete in this class.

Yeah, the RS5 is smaller and of the size of the M3. As I said, I think this is much more suitable to go along with the Mercedes SL. The CL is just too big and if BMW is reviving the 8-Series, that might be the competitor.

@InvincibleM5, yes euro

de facto is that this car will cost more than M5 which is already outrageous
The M6 has always been more expensive than the M5 just as the 6-series has always been pricier than the 5-Series. That's just how it works.

Acting as if the GT-R being cheaper is suddenly a fault against the M6's MSRP might as well be a fault against Porsche, Mercedes, Audi, etc.

Exactly mate but I think he meant that the M5 price is already outrageous and that this M6 will be priced much higher than the already pricier M5.

But that's how it goes and I can see why this M6 is a whole lot pricier than how we imagine it would be. If the price is just around 150k Euro, I think it should be around the price of Mercedes SL63/65.

I don't think it will be quite that high. The 6-Series has always done a good job keeping it self significantly cheaper than the competitive SL-Class, which originally transferred well over to the M6/SL65.

Prices for the F10 M5 expect it to be set near the rival E63 AMG which is $89,000, which most reliable sources believe to be $92-95,000 for the M. If that is true, then I'd guess the newer M6 to be valued around $100-110,000 which would help it undercut the rival SL63. That also doesn't price it far from the 2013 GT-R at $97,000.

Really can't wait to drive it :D
The F10 M5 drives great, even though his weight is a little high.
But engine performance and suspension is the blast.
I really love the dynamic LSD, always the right traction, depending on your driving.
If the handling difference between the current 5ser and 6ser is the same, as for the last generation, this car will be a killer.

Not sure why the big deal about price is. If you can't comfortably afford it then it's probably not in your financial interest to get it anyway. Heck I can't afford it. Still a great car though. So much on the fly customizability. It definetly has more bells
And whistles than the GTR. I imagine is has a more rear room space as well. Remember you also pay for exclusivity, it's a Beemer after all. Don't be fooled into thinking the GTR is practical either. Most normal people cannot afford
Either of these
Cars.

The GT-R and the M6 can be made into practical cars. My classmate drives his GT-R from class to his house and his business everyday. He loves that he can put a good amount of groceries in there. And my brother in law loves his previous gen M6's ability to seat children.

And sounds are objective. I like turbos over N/A, but that's just me.

think i may have been ambiguous. I meant practical in terms of price..Not the actual space. both of these cars are 5 seaters with big boots making them very practical in usability.

I personally love both designs but the thing I find really strange is this sudden love for the older model. I mean most people hated the design of E63 and just hated the car. I could be wrong but that is how it seemed for the last few years.

It's like somebody took the old model and fixed every line that was wrong with it. Just like the Z4 update I think they have made a consistently good looking car out of the same proportion.

All the next gen BMW so far are looking great! I think it's the beginning of a new chapter.

I totally agree with you.
Also build and material quality improved very much from the last generation.
Again, best example Z4.

The interior is just, just BEAUTIFUL:tup:. The designers did a superb job with this one. Can I add Caddi to the convo? :dopey:

A touring car, like Alpina B6 from the previous model would be great as well :D

That front end shot is like night and day for me. The new one looks leagues better IMO. There's a guy around the corner from me that has a newer M3 always hear that V8 purr when he goes by. He has a friend with an M6 and it sounds just as good. Ill take one in black please! :D

Its called ugly friend syndrome. You've come to getting used to the ugly friends looks and everyone makes it work, but then all the sudden they make a big change for the better/worse the opinions vary, but there will always be people who said "go back man, go back".. I think the car is meh, I dislike styling of most modern cars. I prefer the simple styling of Audi over these but I think this whole luxury performance sedan/coupe thing is really boring. Maybe its because everyone here buys German.

To me, the best BMW ever was the E38. Simple, elegant with a smirk that says.. "I have two guys with sub machine guns, bug off"

With pretty much every recent BMW screams "rich teen playing with daddies money".. At least to me, in the area I live.

On the money side... just found this

"The BMW M6 convertible will arrive at U.S. dealerships in June and the coupe will be launched later this summer. In the UK the M6 hits the market on 15 September 2012 with a price of £93,795 for the Coupe and £98,995 for the Convertible. In Germany the Coupe and Convertible cost €123,600 and €131,000, respectively" from worldcarfans.com

Think I'd probably still go for the Alpina B6. :D

Fixed that for you.

I love this thing. Excluding the new 1 Series (which is growing on me- very slowly) all the new BMWs are extremely good looking. And this is no exception...

Meh... I don't know what Audi is copying... But I sure as hell never seen it before. They all look original. As for BMW, they like to add lines for the sake of adding lines. It looks messy. The only modern BMW I like is the 3 series coupe and the 7 series. Everything else is bleh.

I think what he meant was Audi did one design, and have been photo-copying the same thing since (even using the scale button sometimes!)

I like it but ive noticed one peculiar thing

Its as if they took a software program and inverted every single styling line on the old M6 to make the new M6. Look at all the creases edges etc. Where everything droops or sags on the old M6 it does the exact opposite(points upwards) in the new M6. the dome hood on the old 6er becomes a valley on the new 6er. Weird. Its like they just. the entire cars poise is in stark contrast. the old M6 looks droopy. The new one looks hyper...
