Scaff, I see no point in even discussing this with you, you are just being sarcastic and trolling now, so if you'd like to maintain your opinion fine, I really 🤬, any further communication would be a waste of time, we obviously just don't agree.

I'm not being sarcastic at all and even if I was its not an AUP issue. I am certainly not 'trolling' at all and I 'm rather surprised that you seem to be under the impression that I should not be able to reply to a post made on the boards.

As long as posts follow the AUP then they can be freely made and to be blunt if you are going to make claims as wildly sweeping as "GT5 has no rivals on the PC" then don't be surprised if you get asked to explain what you mean.

Now please do not bypass the swear filter again, either don't swear or use the 🤬 smilie, abbreviations and partial self-censorship are not permitted here at GT Planet.

Scaff

Just take a rest from playing it so much maybe you'll get interested in playing GT5 again, i can't seem to get a grip into putting the GT5 disk into my ps3, for now i'll be playing Enthusia, maybe i'll eventually play GT5 sooner or later.....

I own all the cars now, much of them double; one stock and one tuned, and as i don't need more credits to buy others there is no goal in this game anymore. Races are too dull to give me the urge again to play hours on end as before, GT has become one big time trial game now.

Doing your laps by your lonely self, or getting irritated by the idiot race format and the outdated AI that still sucks as much as it did in GT1..

I shall revisit the game once in a while when i just feel like hotlapping Spa, Lemans or the Nur but thats it for me, the excitement is gone.

Where can I pick up my GT5 bible?

Also please explain how GT5 is the best game Console and PC wise.

Well I am guessing you have Internet right? Why not join REAL LIVE competition on GTP? I mean I play off line my self to get money, polish up my skills, test drive cars, test my created tracks etc. When I want to get my blood pumping I PM my friends and we do different type of races online. Yesterday I finally drove a LMP against real people and it was amazing!. 4 laps on LeMans. Everybody talks about this is a new era and GT5 is behind on DLC, but why not take advantage of the new era online mode?

You have a point there, better give that another go and see if it's my cup of tea now. When i raced online before i had troubles with the car's physics being different all of a sudden then when i played offline. That problem still persists?

You are aware that post is a few months old right..? 💡

Yes, by a user that frequents the forums, so I'm sure he'll see it either way and hopefully explain it. Once again why not contribute. I see the date but I tend to think alot more than just "oh a month old, nevermind"

Honestly I have heard of this but I never noticed it myself. What I have read was if your going to tune, tune online therefor your tune would be good for both online and off. In my opinion I have never notice this. Shoot me a FR and you can race with my buddies and I. Do you now how to drive with ABS off?

You honestly don't notice anything different racing online? Seriously? For someone who claims to be an uber realism sim racer in GT5 I find it hard to believe you can't tell the difference.

I am not making this up, When I am racing competition I push harder than when I race offline by myself or the AI. This results with me over using the tires and loosing grip more than I would offline. The only difference to me is Live competition makes me driver harder than offline, AI free run. Edit: In my opinion it's the people who drive with ABS on who should feel the most difference once ABS is off with a proper BB.

You losing grip more often online is because that's the way with the online physics compared to the offline physics.

Online physics are less realistic compared to offline physics. You can't roll a car, for instance, online.

I've always convinced myself that you can't roll a car online because if a player lagged and hit you, then you would be sent flying.

You do realize once again you're wrong. The physics online and offline are different and this has been noted several times. It has nothing to do with your over the top explanation of driving between the two.

Rather you just explained the offline/online difference in physics.

In the beginning In free mode there was no tire wear VS online it was, which made a big difference. Once PD patched in that we can have tire wear damage and real track surface I have not notice any difference but in my driving with live competition, why must you challenge everyone post. I clearly told the guy how people say there is a difference and the solution is to tune online so there no questions when he goes offline. I clearly told the guy it was my opinion and with my experiences they feel the same to me. It has also been noted that some member's like myself never felt a difference in the beginning except for the tires actually having to warm up.

I started to become bored of GT5 about a year ago, and since then my playtime has been reduced to maybe hopping on a handful of times a month. I do the occasional hot lapping, but I wish I could test out my skills online (explained below). The seasonal events became repetitive and I just wasn't up to taking on the final few endurance races. Being an amateur photographer was fun for a little while, but that quickly faded away as most of my favorite cars were standard. Trying to make the best out of my shots with PD's lazy port job spoiled the fun in it for me.

The difference between online and offline physics is what killed off the rest of the replay value for me. Hot lapping offline and tuning felt useless because it all went down the drain as soon as I went online. I grew tired of constantly having to make a private lobby, with the occasional lag or random disconnect, just so I could practice getting used to the new grip (or lack of) levels. I enjoyed online and gave it a fair chance, but after a while enough was enough... :indiff:

No I just challenge you because you are generally not correct, hence why so many other people even the mods who probably have more experience talking about the subject. It's fine if you think we all have opinions when we are really just repeating facts that have been demonstrated over and over. Also I'm commenting on what you said from the post below, I saw that post earlier (the one you bolded right now) but from what you were just saying it only shows that difference in physics. You just seem to equate it to something else rather than what it really is, which is a difference offline and online.
