YOU HAD A ARIEL ATOM !!!!!!!!! Dude Thats AWSOME , The Cobra is SWEET , And the Porsche is SWEET too , Im VERY Jealous of your Cars :D

Thanks All.

Yes, current cars are the MINI, Porsche and a Tahoe (towing, camping, people moving).

The Porsche is built to 944SPEC rules, therefore it's not a turbo. Just a 130-ish HP 2600lb racecar.

I sold the Cobra to get the Atom. After a year of Track Days in the Atom, I decided I wanted to Wheel-to-Wheel race. The Atom was a fun car, but it wasn't fun driving by myself (as in, no one to race with). Sure there were plenty of cars on track... but it was Pass... turn... Pass... turn. In Colorado, we have a large Porsche 944SPEC group in NASA. So I sold the Atom to get the Porsche and the MINI. :) Now I'm racing, and having a great time with the 944.

Thanks Disinfected - I like your Altima Coupe. I had an '02 Altima Sedan 3.5 5 speed before I got the Cobra. :)

Just had a track day over the weekend, and here is some video of the 944 in action. We had a total of 18 944SPEC cars for this event.

Here, I started 13th and fell to last to play with a few of the new drivers for a while. It's fun starting at the back and working your way up through the field.

Next I started 7th, and finished 5th... with a little position mixing as the race went on.

Finally a long battle with a great driver. His best lap time was a 2:15.514 in lap 3. My best was a 2:15.514 in lap 7. It doesn't get closer than that. Close and Equal racing!!!

Edited Version of a race. Standing start at 7th position. Fell back to last, and finished at 5th. 1:51.4 @ Lap 5. 9 Laps total. 2.2 mile 10 turn course. Defense on final lap.

Just a heads up for any one replacing axles or CV joints... Don't use A1 Cardone complete axles from NAPA, Autozone, or anyone else who sells them. I've had 3 break on me so far. Old junk yard OEM Porsche axles are the way to go!

In the second clip of this video, I'm battling for 4th... about to make a pass and *OH SNAP*.... let the profanity begin...

Nice man 👍

You are so lucky in the states with the amateur racing. Here it is near impossible apart from track days.

Thanks acascianelli.

BTW - the MINI is gone. 2007 Saturn Sky Redline acquired, just in time for winter! Black Onyx and Black Top. Downsized (from 18 to 17) winter wheels and tires are on. More mods and pictures to come soon.

Nice to see another Sky on the forum! I have a black 2007 too. Very fun cars out of the box but I did a lot to mine and I recommend you do the same.

I didn't mod the MINI at all... BMW Maintenance and Warranty was nice. But, since the Sky is used, it will get modded. Nothing aesthetic (aside from a shorty antenna) or major, it'll be suspension, brakes, tires and tuning.

Nice! I honestly did the same to my car. If you need a push in the right direction PM me.

Put the Sky on the dyno and had a friend do some HPTuners on it.

Baseline - 233hp 246tq.
HPTuners Results - 249hp 293tq.
+16hp +46tq - Nice mid-RPM Gains.
Elevation, 6000+ Feet.

Man, that looks like a lot of fun. It's been too long since I've done actual racing. How much do you think a full season of spec 944 costs ya excluding transportation?

Once the car is done, all it costs is entry fees. Well... sometimes I get 'perks' because I also instruct.
One set of tires usually lasts a full season. Brake fluid usually lasts a full season. Brake Pads last multiple seasons. I do an oil change every other full weekend.

I added a new vehicle to the stable.
07 Benz ML320 CDI. 7 Speed, AWD and Diesel Power. I'm getting about 25MPG on a daily basis. A long trip into the mountains and back gave me 33MPG. Plus, it'll tow the race car with ease. 75 MPH, 7th Gear, and a towing 20+ MPG.

Also, we had our final 944SPEC races of the year. I got a 4th, 1st and a 8th (Shifter linkage broke). I was offered a co-driver spot in a 3 hour Endurance Race with a rookie driver. We got 1st out of the 944s, and 5th in our class (Lots of fast Miatas).

Usually, I edit racing vids down to show some passing and action. But, this one has no need for editing. It's a full 20 min sprint race. If you want to see what we do, have at it. I started 10th, and finished 4th.
