X What?
I noticed some strange thing about the brake indicator when i saw a race on youtube.

When i brake (ABS setting default), the indicator is white with the top end red.

When i saw the YT video i noticed the brake indicator is completly red.

Does any one knows how this is possible. Has nothing to with changing the ABS settings.

Here two images of the diffrent brake indicators

The red part should be the portion of brake pressure that ABS cuts off to not lock the tires. So in the second the chance to lock tires is so high that ABS completely disables the brake at all in that moment, which might be ok considering that a car that has that TOTAL sponsor might be a Peugeot rally car, so in the gravel. Also in the video shows "steering assist" and "brake assist", so it might also be related to that.

The OP has a point here, I cannot figure out any configuration where the indicator shows red only,

If you watch any top ten player replay you will notice there is no white in the indicator when they brake. When they brake the ABS light illuminates immediately so ABS is defo on.

Anyone know why this is ?

On my Fanatec I have BRF (brake force). In 100%, 0% or off makes no difference, I still see red and white when I brake.

I believe replays will only show the red bar for braking and not the white. Just like replays do not show the accurate brake points for some reason.

A video for a live stream will show things more accurately.

thank you for your post, that would make sense.

However, poor show again by PP and Sony. Why would they do this, don’t they understand its making some of their Customers/Players think the fastest players have an advantage over them.

Nothing should be hidden, watching a replay and then emulating it isn’t as easy as some people may imagine. I must say though, some replays actually look like a computer is driving the car.

If they can’t show a 100% accurate replay, remove them from the game as they mean nothing. Use the resource to add some rain.......

I think the red is how much brake pressure the driver is using and the white is how much pressure there actually is due to ABS activation.

Those two things are not equal. Not by a long shot. They're not just not in the same ball park, they're not even in the same state. Its like suggesting that removing the calculator app from a phone means it suddenly able to sequence the entire human genome. Recording a few data-points to disk wouldn't even register as 0.1% CPU load on a Windows style task manager, removing it would make no difference whatsoever as to the ability to render rain.

I like to watch replays as the game is quite beautiful. I'm sorry you can't match exactly what the top players are doing, but the replays do mean something to me. Should we ditch the photo mode and scapes because I can't measure the exact placements of stickers on other players' liveries?

The replays all show red regardless of whether the player used ABS or not.

Also the ABS graphic is either faked or messed up. At a complete stop, with foot on the brakes, the bar still shows white and red, red presumably being your braking force and white the reduced braking force required to not lock the wheels.
