Why do you drive the car you do?

but there are so many cars, why only stick to one? The interior view of a car weighs heavy on if I use it or not. I loved the Z4 but the mirror was not usable.

When it comes to competition, I have argued myself with this but it only makes sense to use the cars that are strong. the BOP right now does a relatively good job at that so it's not too bad, just a few more minor tweaks. I would like to see a small decrease for the Gr.3 Porsche and a small increase for jag, alfa, chevy, and probably a few others that are not often used. Maybe bring the Gr.4 Megane down to 50% power =)

I really like the sound of the Mustang / Viper so I mostly drive those. They're not the fastest but they're not terrible. A good driving line can make up for most of it in a real race.

I absolutely love the Gr4 McLaren 650s and Vantage V8. By no means are these cars the fastest but I just love them, they both put up a good fight and both sound good - especially the Vantage. I've won a couple of times and I dare say I would get a lot more wins if I switched to one of the kiddie cars like a Megane, Scirocco or TT but to be honest I'd rather have syphilis.
As for group 3, again it's the Vantage! Sometimes I will use the Z4 or AMG but its nearly always the V12 Aston!

I believe its called ragging it old chap not yet another banal capitalised nonsensical word ...people do not talk in one word sentences (yet) its actually 4 words so its completely oxymoronic....but back to cars lol some cars sound and look much better than they drive but are worth the perserverence I spent years literally lerning to master the Shelby 427 sc its a grizzly bear

I voted option B - which is usually true, however lately I've been choosing "competitive" cars rather than the clear cut "best" car.

Also - once I've chosen a manufacturer, I'll more often than not race that manufacturer car in my daily races just to get used to it.
That being said, the manufacturers I've chosen all tend to be "above average" in either GR.3 or GR.4, sometimes both.

So far I've chosen.
Mazda
Renault
Aston Martin
BMW
Lexus
Peugot
Ford

I can't remember the others.

I don't need to be in the flavor of the track car - but the other day on Interlagos GR.4, I was falling behind Megane's in the straight while under slipstream in my Atenza and it wasn't very fun.

I really wish this was the case. In A/S or S/S, if you don't drive one of the two or three cars which are quickest, you're going to get roasted no matter how good you are.

This is true for us regular DR.A/S guys - but the aliens can literally race anything and win, so long as they aren't racing another alien in the OP car (but for the most part the aliens don't choose the OP stuff).
For example, one of the best drivers in Americas beat the GR.4 Megane when it was stupidly good in the GR.4 Hyundai on Suzuka, but it required a near perfect run out of the last high speed left and passed on the inside going into the chicane.

Not interested in brand loyalty when it comes to competition. FIA races I just want to try and win. Daily’s though? Sure, I’ll take the NSX Gr. 3 and 4 for a spin.
I get the best gr.3 results with the NSX. The amount of miles I've put into it being my favorite might have something to do with my pace. It's now the car that takes the least time for me to get into the groove. One thing though is that it's a complete nightmare on Mt. Panorama.

Most MR are tough on Bathurst - you've really got to straighten out on the downhill section.
I tried driving the Ferrari on it and I'm relatively good at Bathurst and oh **** me was it tough.

I am S/S, certainly no 'alien' and i drive the Toyota GR3 and 4, been using the jag gr4 and ferrari gr4 last night. Have had more wins in those cars since getting to S/S then previous B/A DR races. Maybe its because i refuse to blame the car on my loss, its always my fault, so im always looking for ways to improve.

For the most part I stick to cars that I am comfortable driving and can turn good consistent laps. Usually for me, as of late, I like the M6 and the M4. I usually lap in a few different cars before I pick which one to use. Lately, more often than not... It has been the Bimmers.

I have used...

Gr3.
  1. RSR (very quick, very easy to make a mistake)
  2. Viper (haven't been too fast in )
  3. Z4 ( fun to drive and quite nimble)
Gr.4.
  1. Audi TT (I like on tighter tracks)
  2. Viper (just can't get good times)
I should mention that I have been playing with the Mustangs. They are fun to drive and I can get some decent times with them. I haven't tried racing them yet.

I have a problem wit the question, because I understand the Gr.3 Porsche is a go to car, but I love that car! And I’ve made the “best looking” livery for it, so I want to show it off.

If I were to race the Mans Cup, I would choose BMW. I like the look of the Gr.3 Z4, and I’m almost at the same pace I have with the 911, and the Gr.4 M4 is a beast!

For me, it's not a brand issue, it's something about individual cars.

Like the Shelby Cobra (with all its oddness, but glorious sound), the F40 (even with its tendency to leave the ground), the sweet, sweet, sweet Alfa 4C Gr 3 Road Car and finally, the detuned version of the well-behaved Aston Martin to N300 to earn mucho credits in the GT League Professional on Maggiore.

let’s face it no one is driving the Beetle Gr.3 because they like it  proud to say i’ve never touched that thing, hideous.
Ouch.

Love the Bettle.
Sounds wicked, fun drive.

These silly stigma that are imposed on certain cars by certain players mean little to me.
I see no issues with it myself.
Great car.

That poll is a damn lie lmao.

You're telling me all those lobbies full of meganes in gr.4 (Don't know what gr3 is looking like right now) are because people were a fan of the brand even before hopping onto the game?? I was racing on yesterday's Gr4 daily race on Kyoto Yamagiwa II. Had a few solid back to back races with this guy in his Megane. I forgot what qualifying lap times we put up but we were fast, and leaving the entire pack behind. We're both rank A on DR/SR. Long story short we befriended each other for him to insist that i hop on the Megane bandwagon because "it gives speed advantage at the expense of cornering"... Nah i'm good.

OH and i'll double down on BMXMITCH remark about people driving the same car (usually meta) and whining about lack of diversity. That is pretty self-explanatory. Like I love Mercedes but I got a hand at several other manufacturers such as McLaren, Ferrari and Ford

I voted loyalty but it's more loyalty to myself. If I like driving it, I drive it. If I don't I don't. It can change from track to track, day to day or just if I fancy a change.
I suppose that's why I do better in one makes.

I like to try out all of them out on different tracks.. If I feel like I have a chance of winning in the META car I try it out.

I actually started to make lists of cars I prefer and not prefer on different tracks.

I try different cars on different tracks in qualifying and see what feels best. I can't get on with the M4 despite that being the current "go to" car for Gr.4

I have the most miles on the F Type Group 3. Mainly because there isn't a better looking group 3 car in the game, it sounds great and it's thankfully very easy to drive.

The poll result show the perfect opposite of what i see in every Sport Mode Gr.3 or Gr.4 Race... Not sure if the Answers given here are what People wish to do or what they really do.

Unless everyone's favourite car legit became the 911 before it became the META, I have my doubts on this poll being an honest representation of the GTS players on the whole. The results have surprised me, but I still get 16/17/18 RSRs in every DR:A race I'm ever in.

Pretty cool though that GTP users on the whole don't just flock to the RSR.

Should rename the game to Porsche Challenge Remastered. ( Porsche Challenge, what a game! :P ).

I remember seeing you in a GTR at Suzuka while I was in an R8. Most other people were in the RSR. I'm proud we kept a respectable finishing position! I think I actually have that replay saved somewhere.

Hopefully players like TRL_LIGHTNING, when they set rank 1 times in a car other than the RSR, people take note. He managed a 1:57.7 in the Citroen the other day. The RSR's were hovering around 1:58.3's.

I mostly use Z4 GT3 when i join sport races since launch because it's one of my favourite GT3 cars in terms of sound/looks but it's quite quick in game too.

I voted first but I usually find a "fine line" between it, because I never have a "only one absolute favourite car" so I pick a car I like, that has the most fitting handling for me and that I feel like driving.

this.... Z4 is a very underrated gr.3 car

The RSR was one of my favorites. Now I need to be the KOOL Kid with the weird car splitting the Porsche chain :P
It always looks funny in replays, when theres one Viper popping up between all those chrome Porsches

Errm what is the Mans Cup exactly ha ha ...sounds a bit "wrong"

I'm swapping a lot of cars while on the hot laps for the qualifiers to see if i've missed any beasts for specific tracks ...plus it doesn't hurt to drive every car ...well

Was this aimed at me using the term meta?

Some things are self explanatory ...using the fastest car ...rear wheal drive front engine. Not about terminology just is why does it need a gimmicky name all of a sudden we've been doing fine without it. It is in fact greek (preposisition and prefix) meaning after or beyond ...context is everything

I actually did like the RSR the most from the beginning. IRL it is easily one of my favorite cars. When everyone went to it, I thought I would try some different cars. 1st I fell in love with the Z4, now I like the M6 even more.
