For those throwing around the word "disappointment" in not hearing more about the Senna collaboration, I expect this is because it was just formed very recently, perhaps within the past week even. And from what we've heard it seems to be only DLC, so there probably won't be anything Senna-related at launch. Once they get things going I'm sure we'll hear more details. So basically, for those hoping for the MP4/4, it'll probably have a good chance making the game but even if it is going to be in, I almost guarantee it not only hasn't even begun modelling, but PD hasn't even been to the car yet to take photographs and other data. That will come within the next year or more through DLC. We'll just have to wait for it as it will come "soon."

Sorry, had to change avatar
Sir, you have won GTP today

Here take this:

So it looks like there will be a bunch of Senna related DLC. Most certainly his likeness in some way, like Sebastian Vettel, Sebastien Loeb and Jeff Gordon in GT5, most probably some of his cars, and maybe the Interlagos track eventually at some point. I'd say something like Ayrton Senna's Karting School is another possibility as well.

It's confirmed by G1 (huge news site).

Here, in English.

I was going to say how this announcement was PD kicking T10 in the nuts but considering how this Senna content will be DLC I retract this statement.

We've reached our destination: Disappointment. Please be seated while we call row by row to get off the Hype Train. =)

Yeah, and we have to wait in Disappointment for the next train that will take us to Senna City. Anyone wanna take a coffee while we wait? From the windows of the cafeteria, the lights from Senna City are just barely visible by the horizon...

Exactly why are some people so obsessed with this? Ok one did this and the other didn't, big deal. Sorry, but this whole "only one must win" mentality just seems to be kinda silly.

Someone should ban you from GTP.

Because everyone watches Formula 1

Seriously, this kind of thinking should really stop. Sorry this is news to you, but not everyone watches Formula 1 (even if they play GT).

Hmm, I don't know who Senna is? Old F1 driver?

Basically, think of Jesus. And then you think of F1. And then you think those thoughts at the same time. And there you have Senna.

Edit: And yeah, he could even walk on water.

Because we are shallow human beans.

Whatever, I'll probably end up getting both.

Maybe I'm too young, the only super famous F1 name I ever heard was Micheal Schmaucher, not quite sure on my spelling there... lol I think they said he died in 1994... well I was born in 1994... so thats probably why...

Announcing the partnership between Gran Turismo®6 and the Ayrton Senna Institute
Gran Turismo®6

On October 24, 2013 at the SCEA Press Conference held in São Paulo, Brazil, we have announced a long term partnership with the "Ayrton Senna Institute" non-profit organization, and the "Gran Turismo" PlayStation Video game series.

In the PlayStation exclusive game title "Gran Turismo®6" to be released on December 6, 2013, content involving Brazil's legendary racing driver Ayrton Senna will be provided through online updates, enabling players to trace the roots of Ayrton Senna's racing career.

“For us, it’s very special to have Ayrton as the main highlight of Gran Turismo®6. It represents victories that Brasil won far beyond just the sport. It's the Brazilian spirit, perseverance among challenges, and victory achieved through great effort. Ayrton also represents the creative intelligence, courage, and solidarity with friends and strangers. These are values that we Brazilians cultivate and saw represented in the figure of that champion, which added to this a meticulous technique," said Viviane Senna, the sister of the late triple champion and president of the Instituto Ayrton Senna.

Kazunori Yamauchi, creator of Gran Turismo, who presented the game at the press conference added "Ayrton Senna has always been my hero, and I'm honored to be able to work as a partner with the Ayrton Senna Institute which has carried on his legacy. If it wasn't for Ayrton Senna, I don't think the video game, Gran Turismo, would ever have been developed. Nothing makes me happier than to relay the gratitude of Ayrton Senna Foundation, to all the players of Gran Turismo®6."
