Breaking Bad

Is anybody watching season 5? :)

They have raised the bar for TV drama to a point where not too many shows are able to match. Dexter has been a snooze fest. SoA doesn't have the same grip that it used to.

Comparing BB season 1 to 5, good grief they have grown!

You are right DaveTheStalker.
The only thing that brought me back to "real life", let's say, was an error during the last episode...
When the camera man approached Skyler in the car, when Walt was getting into the house... I suddenly thought that they were getting TOO close to the window... and yes, the did. If you watch it closely, you can see the HALF of the camera, and then the camera man goes back...
It was less than 2 seconds, but since I really like photography and video edition and having done some short films, this is something that it's in my mind all the time.
And I LOVE the photography in the series, the pace...
But it's just a detail... that bothered me a lot really, I couldn't believe it, but it's just a stink in a perfect series so far.

Watching the new episode right now.
Good episode. I have a idea of what Walt might do, but I will have to see what's next.

Just to make sure, there's only one more episode left?

TALKING BAD SPOILER!!!

Breaking Bad won for best editing, Anna Gunn won best actress, and the show won for best drama.

So, last night...oh, the feels.

Walt asking the Vacuum Cleaner Repair Guy to stay another hour was just...I could feel something squeeze my heart. That soul-crushing, impotent loneliness. :(

I want Walt to smile next episode. Just once, just one sincere smile. After all he has done, he deserves it.

I liked the part where his ring fell off. Than later his son wishes he was dead. Even in the bar his old company which he helped build says he did nothing. Basically his whole life was for nothing and is meaningless. I hope he kills literally everyone. Like just so insane blood fills the streets. This will sound mean but I hope he even kills his family. He must take everything he helped big out.

:guilty: Yes, please.

I think it is kind of extreme, but I'm hoping that Walt can redeem his mistakes in some way. I don't know, Jesse needs some peace as well as Walt.

Walt is getting what he deserves. The show can only end it one way, Walt getting the living hell shot out of him.

I don't have many high hopes for the ending. Especially after the very disappointing ending to Dexter. But, I just hope I'm surprised.

SPOILER ALARM

^I think BB will have a better ending as Dexter. The whole 5th season was mind blowing. Just awesome.

And I agree. I am one of those who want to see Walt die. It's what he wants, it's what he deserves. He has no morality at all. No honor, no loyality left

I understand that Jessie put him in the corner so Walt needed to act.

We saw Walt humanity die a little every season. The poisoning of Brak was unforgivable.
THe worst was the split with Jessie though. Mike was also a grain too much. And Walt knows it.
Jessie was always loyal to him. Not due to dumbness, but because Jessie has a great heart. Jessie could have made his way by giving up Walt in S4. he didn't.

Walt and BB is very interesting in this regard. We care for a really bad person, because that's what Walt became.
He still has some good left, that sometimes shines through, but Walt knows it's too late for him.

Eager to see what happens on the 52nd birthday .

Also, Walt made one classic mistake:
Taking out all of his associates, which leaves new associates with only one choice. Kill or be killed...

Can't wait for the ending.

Awesome series.

Shmogt : That comes very close to a psyco what you said.
Kill his family. The man loves his family, he would never harm them. Never.
He lives and dies for his family.

@Ibon: The problem is that his family couldn't care either way by now. I wonder if Heisenberg has truly taken him over.

I don't think he cares about his family anymore or at least not as much. That's why the showed the ring fall off his finger. To symbolize that they have slipped away. They don't appreciate what he has done for them. Everything he had is now over.

I think that the ring falling off his finger is because how BAD and ill he is right now. Yes, you could relate that to the lost of his family too, but I think that was most directly related with his health state.
They can't appreciate what he has done because he was a really nice person, they had other image in their heads about what Walt was, and now he became something totally different. I get that.
We see things differently because we all saw what he has done for his family, but at the same time he was looking for some recognition, even if that were earned by something horrible, but he wanted respect. And I'm totally get that too.
He is brillant, magnificent, but he used all of that to make something awful.
He still has some humanity in his heart, but he already lost everything.
It's going to be soul-breaking...
He needs, at least, to make things right even as impossible as it is right now, with Jesse.

Jesse sabotages the Nazis' meth lab, which explodes and kills them. He escapes, and tracks down Walt. However, it turns out that Todd survives. Lydia tracks down Jesse, and offers him Walt's empire if Jesse kills him. Todd walks in, and in a fit of rage kills Lydia, and that's when Walt steps in for the final showdown.

Or, Walt becomes a lumberjack as his family run away to Buenos Aires.

Walt kills the Neo-Nazis, saves Jesse. Meets up with his family, makes amends , the police arrive and he lights one last cigarette. Fade to credits.
I have a feeling that isn't going to go well with Walt Jr.

I do think Jesse is going to try to kill them. I kind of hope Todd dies.

I hope it doesn't end with Walt and Jesse dying.

I don't want it to end :(

Me neither. This is one series that I will be buying on Blue Ray.

Normally I would just let a show buffer on the DVR for 15 minutes. I'm going to watch Breaking Bad live. Waiting a week for this last episode of Breaking Bad has been agonizing. But not as gut wrenching as the final scene of Dexter! The writer of seasons 6-8 should be black listed!

I usually do the same thing too. But tonight I am doing the same as you.

Watching now.

I thought for a second that he was about to be caught there for a minute.

I wonder what Walt is planning to do with them?

I loved it. What a show it was :')

Agreed.

Finally I know where that big .50 caliber gun came into play from earlier in the series. That was a great way to tie that up.
